Are you f&:?:ng kidding me? I have a mr1 an I can take it apart completely in under 2 min I bet. Unless you're taking terrible care (or no care at all) and letting it get gummed up by paint and other crap there's no way that it should be hard to take apart. You just have to take apart the gun at least once every two games (pref. 1) and when you have balls chop and it is easy. Also, if you can't find the parts for it then you're not looking hard enough.

I hate when people say Spyder sucks and Tippman is better, and vice versa. Both brands are good guns, easy to use, accurate and tough. (I have had my Spyder fall ten feet down onto concrete, it still works). Guns need to be maintained, if you do not oil the gun or clean it, it WILL break down. People who say a gun sucks because it broke usually do not take good care of it and it serves them right. It is all about personal preference; Tippman is more upgradable cosmetically but costs more.

I went with the Spyder MR1. One of the cheapest to upgrade, this gun works spectacular with an aftermarket barrel and hopper. Tippman makes nice products, and the 98 Custom and A-5 are the most customizable guns on the market but i've had those things crap on me too many times. Not really a big fan. Also Spyder Tech and Customer Support is top notch. Those guys will hook it up if anything ever goes wrong. Very easy to take apart and maintain for noobs.

spyder guns pretty much suck, they chop, break easily, and are impossible to get inside of, my friend had a mr1 and it broke the second time he used it, and when we finally got to the internals the piece that broke was impossible to fix and they don't sell the piece anywhere. Tippmanns are durable and easy to take apart, all these guys who like spyders just like then more cuz they own one.

anyone who doesnt know which to get...i say get a spyder. they r cheaper and i personally think they work just as good as the tippmann. out of all my spyders i have only had one problem which was fixed by a 5 cent spring and it works as good as new. plus tippmann has bigger threads for the barrels and i can switch off barrels with other guns cuz most other guns have the same threads as a spyder

Plus Tippmann keeps there models out longer thus, parts are still available IF the gun goes down(Spyder often brings out and discontinues 3+ markers a year). Tippmann has the good attititude that if it isn't broke; don't fix it. That's why guys still use 98s and even Pro lites and carbines.

I'll defend the Mr1 anyday,

but to be honest, its not better then the tippman a5, especially with the set up this guy has.

However, the Mr2 and Mr3 are much better then the Mr1 and could easily compete with any tippman

Also, the flatline barrel is excellent, but it sucks when it is windy, the wind picks it up alot easier and throws off your accuracy.

to be very honest, the tippman a5 is better, however, as far as the quality you get for the price of the Mr1. It makes it a great deal for beginners. especially if it is your first gun. Not only that, it is very easy to maintain in comparison to the a5 in this case with its flat line.

well unlike what other people say i would get the mr1 first because its not as expensive and doesnt use a lot of co2. i have an a5 and i love it but i would never recomend it to a starter because it really is a gas hog. my first gun was a not very good 32 degrees icon x but i learned what i needed to bout paintball and then upgraded to an a-5. well i hope that helped
