In the NZ Army,we do a lot of orienteering and bush combat drills(in thick,rugged hilly terrain) that concentrates on the 14 man platoon(2 support gunners and a designated LAW operator).Nice video by the way.

On our first two basic trainings we had survival, orientation, explosives, self defense, precision shooting (rifle and pistol), first aid, surviving on a battlefield, camouflage, tactical movement on the battlefield and a couple of other things but frankly i was dissappointed because i expected more profesionalism knowledge

@Polenar That's the Military for you,your not an individual but a segment of a fighting unit.I'm surprised you did Handgun(most Armies around the world do not universally issue Handguns) and stuff,but I was exposed to drill,more drill,weapons handling,route marching,battlefield formations,more drill and of course customs.

We start off with 8km(14Kgs-20kgs) 12km(12-18kgs) then 24km Qualification with 24kg pack.

actually this basic training stuff is more like "camping with friends" for me than actual military training

I use G36 for airsoft but this videos were from basic military training so those F2000s are real :)

When Slovenian army wanted to replace their main assault rifle there were two options - H&K G36 and FN F2000.

They chose FN F2000 and made some modifications to it so its now called FN F2000 S.

Its not a bad rifle but if i had to go to war, i would chose G36 over F2000 anytime (except for CQB conflicts)

Whats wrong with the M70?

Absolutely nothing is wrong with M70, its still my favorite, but it has an old design and its not as accurate as other modern weapons. Also in NATO its good to have NATO standards so politicians decided it was time for a new assault rifle.

As long as we dont go to war, this rifle will be ok...
