I was only 5 when this happened, an i remember seeing James's little yoghurt covered face in the papers an asking my mum what had happened to him. I live over the water from Liverpool about a 5-10 min drive away an it was more of a shock to have this happen so close. They left alot of details out of the paper as they were just so horrendous they couldnt put them in a paper. Bless that little boy, i have a 17 month old son myself and if anything happened to him i dont know what the hell id do.

The boys used the batteries to sexually abuse James. And James suffered so many injuries that it couldn't be determined which one killed him. And there was a possibility that James was still alive when he was laid on those train tracks, because those killers just thought he was dead after they beat and assaulted that poor baby.

I just heard of James Bulger's story. This is beyond terrible and sad. Those two killers deserve life. I heard Jon was back in prison on child pronography charges. Parents watch your kids and tell them if a stranger approaches them to run for help. My three year old nephew is learning about not to talk or go with strangers only people he knows like me, his grandparents, or uncle.

A child should be able to trust an adult or an older child. Many, many years ago, way before I was born, children would have no problem or concept of an issue with trusting an adult/older child to find their parent, were they to be lost. When I was a child, I was taught not to talk to strangers...how sad is it that our own neighbors, the people that live in our towns and cities cannot be truste with the lives of our children....especially THE CHILDREN?!!?

not to long ago i heard a story that one of them moved to australia under new name [dante authers] i also hear that he has killed again ...... a girl in side a shopping centre.... he is now in causurina prison in western australia serving time . how i know this and im ashamed to say is that i served 2 years in this prison for GBH...... dante authers is in protection unit . i even asked the screws [gaurds] they allways either had different storys to protect him and all media has no contact

@toal1980 i think they did know right from wrong, but there are hundreds of adults who torture and murder their children, also kids like mary bell who strangled 2 young boys at the age of 11, who are now free from prison leading normal lives, but people who didnt even know this child are trying to find and kill those two boys. adults have murdered and dont seem to have the same hatred towards them, its not right.

I remember I was 12 when this happened and it traumatised me so much I wrote about it in school. It still affects me today. What is the world coming to when we have children killing children. Regardless of the murderer's age whatever happened to life for a life. This poor angel never saw his 3rd birthday yet these monsters were freed in their twenties. Is this really punishment? When they were locked up it was more like a holiday camp with games consoles in their room. Sickens me to the core.
