  • meanwhile in africa

  • Make nanobots that constantly repair and up keep human insides for eternal life. I would love to live forever!!!! I don't care if I out live my friends and family....ill just make nu ones.

  • @Borderlands808 They are already working on that.

  • i want future NOW

hah, but seriously this all seems awesome and im just afraid i wont be alive by then lol

  • thumps up if u came here to unerstand how work the nanosuit:!!!::! :o :p

  • i have a prediction.... the first viable nanotechnology will be created from geneticaly engineered bacteria one component at a time and assembled by enginered viruses.

  • Time to start the new and if in the first place you don't succeed fail fail fail again. How on earth did males ever get born? Chances are they don't know themselves :)

  • 5:39 maad scientist

  • Praise Santa Claus. Praise Him.

  • omg 1:38 and 5:40 nerd alert jesus

  • He's so happy becuz someone actually bothered to listen to his crap

  • @lolmanwhatman123

this crap is future and you're a stupid bitch. and dumasses like are going to work for those who are studuying nanotech now.

  • @thejacfaf dude calm the hell down, i know this is a part of the future which will resolve many problems for mankind, now GTFO

  • It annoys me when I hear comments by backward thinking ludites who want to slow science to a standstill out of irrational fear and lack of understanding. Of course there may need to be some regulation to avoid irresponsibility, but such things should be looked at in detail by those with relevent qualification and experience. Risk cannot be destroyed no matter what path is taken, but it can be managed.

  • What's next, the Crysis Nanosuit?

  • @Rhandoll Crossing fingers

  • A big part of why people learn to be "bad" is in the current system where they've come to expect their lot in life (and that of their children) to be one of poverty. Do you doubt that nanotechnology can change that? When people can make what ever drugs they want right inside their bodies to you think there will be any drug related crime?

What happens when a youth in Uganda can manufacture oscilloscopes or computers or hamburgers or vaccines at home?

  • LOL @ 5:38

  • I don't doubt that these mean well, however most new technology of this magnitude usually is converted for defense/offense purposes. I'm sure the U.S. military is salvating over the array of defense applications. For example, predator drones the size of a fly, hive minded killer insects with solar power capabilities etc, etc , etc. I fear these weapons will evenutally be used against the American public. Our guns will be no use-- either obey or be destroyed.

  • @Mr145616 Fortunately, the internet is making governments lose their power.

  • I'm betting it will get repressed and or used for weapons.

  • "Stasis is unethical"

  • but will it blend ?

  • Real technology is the medatitve study of how your consciousness effects reality, that's the future.

  • @mmtot Nano technology is a racket. The history of nano technology proves the interface-formula that enables nano technology wasn't known until 2005.They stole it and tried to Strawman it by crediting Erick Drexler as "The Father of Nanotechnology" Then began researching and discovering new nano scale facts that were already patented since 1999. Erick Drexler only had a Strawman approach. Nanotechnology is UFT is it not? If Einstein couldn't solve his own UFT then who did? They never told anyone.

  • All the stuff they talked about is cool, but the only thing i am thinking is "Please god give us nanosuits" xD

  • Amazing :D

  • We're f*cked!

  • I would like a super sized order of nanobots(artilects) plz. And yes I'll take a large coke and fries with that order ;)

  • and how's ur clean energy work coming along? pretty useless. what has the academic research organizations done compared to the clean energy industry? very little compared to the 'actual' clean energy industry.

  • @utoostrict

Academic research creates the knowledge and modelling systems to allow for real engineering to take place.

Academic research allows source materials so that education can advance.

  • @bighands69 without real quantifiable statistics of aggregate data (ex. one company/corporation differs vastly from the next company/corporation within the same sector and similar product line) academic research knowledge and modelling systems allow for SOME parts of real world engineering, and non-academic (ex. some businesses) knowledge and modelling systems unknown and/or exclusive to academics allows for SOME parts of real engineering to occur.

    academia will always propagates education

  • @utoostrict

The clean energy industry has benefited from the research that has been carried out by academia.

Industry would suffer without academia and academia would suffer with out industry backing.

  • good video

  • Support nanotechnology as the technology with the biggest impact on human life in the next 30 years here goo .gl / KWHK5

    Vote for nanorobots entry

  • Support nanotechnology as the technology with the biggest impact on

human life in the next 30 years

  • these people lives in their

    mothers basement...

    im gonna do that.

  • Nano tech is interesting, alright you should read prey by Michael Chroictin,( the guy who wrote jurassic park, book, and other great books that became movies.) it is about nanotech but also a great story!

  • "participate in a debate in a meaning way"

    never on youtube.

  • Like all breakthroughs in science (aka knowledge) it can be used for good and for bad purposes. History however reports back to us a quantitively provable case that humans simply do not have the capacity to not only regulate the bad uses but to criminalise the very institutions that secretly develop uses that are not life affirming but holographically destructive. Science is locked into a bipolar state of mind pervading all disciplines, health, commerce, 'defence', economics, that makes it crass

  • Bill O'Reilly should watch this.

  • @damoos Why? He wouldn't comprehend past the first five seconds.

  • NANO TECH FOR HIV RESEARCH!

  • @budd2200 Nanobots could potentially target and kill the HIV or AIDS virus. Cancer, as well.

  • @Etherouge That's what they want you to believe. The technology will be used for defense, security, warfare, etc. Not to cure cancer. Mark my word. Be afraid, very afraid...that's all I can say.

  • @SkyOne1111

The technology is already being used to research cancer.

The technology is already in our society.

Integrated circuits were first used for defense but they eventually were distributed in society.

  • Nanotechnology my ass !!

  • @theend1245 what do you mean

  • I've only participated in one nanochemistry-based research project so far in my career, but it was incredibly interresting stuff.

  • I have heard reports of sunscreen and nanotechnology combining to become dangerous or cancerous due to the sunscreen entering the blood stream. Any one have genuine info on this?

  • they want to use nanotech to heal cancer cells!! WOW!! NICE!

  • Nano technology would be used best in america to be placed inside the stomach to stop the development of fat build up, which can stop many health problems.

    Plus the military (Crysis)

  • It meets the energy demand and more!

  • 3:40 nerdgasm

  • Sweet

  • 05.40 excited men and why not i would be to

  • truly inspiring something so small yet so large

  • Ok I need help from someone that understands nanotech.. just a basic question, what are nanomachines built from?

  • @sibko wait....a world without people killing for wealth.......cant wait......

  • Woo hoo, we can make all new carcinogens for the 21st century!

  • The guy @1:38 looks like the guy from flubber :D

  • Question god, what you don't know, do not question science, what we do know.

  • work of the illuminati

  • we just need public support of gm now

  • Truly the applications for nanotech are limitless. The nanotech age is going to influence and rapidly advance, every new technology that follows. Nano cell manipulation, anti-aging, regeneration therapy anyone!!

  • i like how the guy at 1:38 gets all giggly when he starts talking about something really nerdy hahahah

  • @presbarkeep I like the way you laugh with people to loose your frustration because you don't understand a shit of what they say ... don't worry, me neither :D

  • @presbarkeep you would be to if you understood the possibilities this opens up.....

  • @presbarkeep why is this stupid comment from presbarkeep have 27 votes ?????????

  • i saw a RC car at 0.9mm o.O

  • One look at the design of the motor that drives a flagellum should lay to rest any question about the existence of our Creator to any unbiased observer.

  • @Cheebajunkie How loaded with fear, paranoia, labels and prejudice you are.. Jacque is old yes, a fucker? Maybe.. But communist is such a loaded term that no-one should use it anymore.. If you mean anti-competetive economy then say that. If you mean cruel dictator then say so, communist can mean so much these days, it only confuses discussion.

  • this makes those who promoted Cryonics look like geniuses after all.

  • The Nano Age is coming! Check out nano.ms

  • This technology should be used for the pleasure and benefit of those who made it. The people who spent a large portion of their lives dedicated to making a better tomorrow for the ignorant, whiney, peanut gallery, children, deserve to have opulent present.

  • The guy speacking in this video look like an actor but I cant remember his name.

  • So THATS how bactiria moves around.

  • Mind = Blown

  • The control of the very small is too big of a temptation for the military industries to resist. Nanites in your morning breakfast, nanites in the air and water - to help you vote this way or that, to help you buy this brand rather than that brand, nanites to reassemble your thoughts and memories and beliefs in favor of some predecided politically correct package deal. Atheists or otherwise, science/academia has become as much of a cult as Christianity ever was. New Dark Ages loom just ahead.

  • @SororThothma New Dark Ages , I like it.. .kind of rolls off the tongue well. Do you really think it would go like that?

  • There is no way the military will not seek to exploit it. In fact, a great deal of nanotech is being paid for by the DoD & DARPA. Moreover, the big $cience corporations are all inter-owned by each other (Monsanto owns stock in Baer which owns stock in Westinghouse which owns stock in Viacom which owns stock in Sony which owns stock in Monsanto, etc etc) - and the military has its fingers in all of those pies. So yes, I fully expect the standard greed & exploitation to come with this technology.

  • Future shock, hahaa final pardigm of the singularity. Getting baked before judgement day and sarah connor says 'Told you so!'

  • would anyone be able to tell me which television programme this is from, im using it as a source in and essay and need to know the origin of the vid.

    thanks in advance

  • i was thinking of doing something nano for my thesis, but my lecturer advises against it because its still so very new, and information is difficult to find, and he has a point there, and i'd need years to figure out something epic. but im still very into it, Its my main goal, nanorobotics.

    yay science and Engineering

  • @terranark do it anyways... what is NOT doing something because its too new?

  • @alexandradeyl well you see I'd have to do something as incredible as Tesla and formulate something entirely new in a year, It took10 years to master velcro,in a year I would have to come up with space age tech alone. I like sleep man, I dont need that kind of stress.

I'll do it when my degree is done and im bored

  • Gotta love technology ^_^

    Hope their research goes well...

  • lol @ youtube comments. wtf

  • @tripplethrendo sometimes they are better than the actual videos (they give a great insight into the workings of the human mind and thoughts)

  • and its so fking GREAT THAT MAN HAS MADE THIS NOT ALINE OF STUPUID THINGS LIEK THAT GIVE IT to us we did it

  • omfg i was just readiing the newspaper in like 15 years time they might replace blood cells with nana cells it says here that u can be able 2 run a 100m sprint in 15 min adn not be tiered alos hold your breath for half a hour and cuts would heeal in minutes omfg thhis is so cool

  • lf they dont use this technology for war... its fantastic !!!!!

  • i think people should use nano tech would be very usefull :]

  • Did anyone know what software did they use to create this 3D models?

  • Funny they did not say anything about weapons which is the real purpose of the technology.

  • @TheManHammer0

    What about Plasma Technology?

  • Those funny looking tube things at the start look like the tubular stuff found in some chem trail residue. Nano fibers clinging to each other working together under your skin once absorbed. See the stanigerreport(dot) com and carnicom(dot)com for other stuff on the mystery trails.Maybe quantum confining is potentially dangerous too.Just what are the mad scientist up too these days, one often wonders. Hopefully for the betterment of humankind as is thier fundamental basis.

  • @Carlito9480

    fuck off retard

  • I hope people can step over their fear and support this science. THANK YOU! For your hard work!

  • @nambypamby34

the fear of this tech is caused by the idea that humans like to control other humans.... which is of course thee ultimate POWER. I already feel like a slave to society; having to work to live. Imagine if a goveronment run agency out nano bots into you in order to root out immorality inherent in all people. It could potentially eliminate criminal nature with a mind control method. 9:17-9:29 is nano attaching itself to a synaptic nerve in the brain...good to get rid of evil but

  • @loomround Remember fire. Can you imagine how people reacted to that. Well now he have laws controlling how we as humans use fire. Should we just make a law against fire?

  • ok, in the quest for a uniformly peaceful society, we as a society, have agreed that certain actions and behaviors are not ideal in order for the potential society to work. Therefore, if we cannot use mind control nano-bots on miscreants. Perhaps exile is a better option rather than prison. We could explore one's right to legal suicide as another alternative. and BTW, last time I checked, there are laws against fires that are not done safely and fire to property.

  • @nambypamby34

isn't that evil in and of itself? Evil being the immorailty of nature determined by society and environment. I.E. we don't eat people but we eat other animals. Is that evil?

Is changing people's minds without consent evil? you can sub evil for wrong and immoral, but the bottom line exists. Where do we draw the line?

Corruption has always existed in different ways through out human existance and has always been rooted to the control of people. Feel free to fire back.

  • Society and our Environment is always changing. Evil in one country is normal in another and changes from time to time.

"Is Changing peoples mind without consent evil?" You are driving down the road in GA you see ads for naked dancers" You pull over to check them out. Should they have asked you first if you wanted to see the ad." It should of course be your choice. Just like you don't have to have the computer your typing on. We should be afraid of corrupt people.

  • we shouldn't be afraid of corrupt people, we should stand up to them. Segregate, those who wish to conform from those who don't. But one Judge should not make the decision. Instead, a community should evaluate the threat and not punish, but exile(maybe on a time basis).

For the Ad instance, I agree. We shouldn't be subjected to the constant bombardment of this every day nuisance. If I want a product, I should be able to look it up and browse through the ads.

  • @nambypamby34

I want you to fully understand my intentions wtih these replies. I am definately for nano tech, I'm just worried about the in-body uses. I can see a plethora of incredible applications inside the body; curing cancer, diseases, ending obesity, and prolonging life. I believe it would be necessary to draw the line when nano bots enter the brain.

If there is a strict check and balance system in place for this tech inside the body I think the fear would slowly fade.

  • I agree. It comes back to choice. If you don't want to live forever as some amazing avatar . Don't. People should and I will very likely still have choice. I can't say for sure because I'm not a tarotcard reader.lol!

  • I will offer these ideas. Perhaps we are already avatars or maybe some call it "the ghost in the machine" or "The Matrix?"

Life should always be a choice whether it is to live or die.

  • I disagree with the use of Nano Technology. Before you know it, they're going to make soldiers super soldiers who can jump 100 yards in one leap. Nanotech is just messing up gods creations.

  • @loomround You remind me of something, don't know who's prophesy this was, but someone said something in the not-too-distance future, people will be injected with a chemical that is control by one person or group and this group can deactivate mass population base on their age and health status, but also trigger other mass action at WILL. Sounds like nanotechnology can do this.

  • Obviously here knows what this stuff really is.This stuff can change all matter into what ever we program it to do.

  • the key to reversing cryonics suspensions in the future....:)

  • Interesting documentary. Not the best but interesting. I'm out of topic but, I laughed when the first guy said "A nanometer is very small" hahaha! And the guy with the brown shirt should be hypnotist with his monotone voice, hehehe. Anyway like I said, it was interesting. Thnx for the upload.

  • I thought silicon was high in abundance, and cheap. I know this an old video but still.

  • trust me when i say this coz here is the deal nanotech is potentially the biggest threat to human existence ever it is partly upto the scientists of the world in every country to make progress in the area

  • NIce I think I saw something about this on science channel very encouraging! But you have 2 make a cartoon !cmon!

  • Cool story, bro.

  • Hi Everyone:

Reminder from the editor: discussions about promoting / bashing Christianity or other religious views are considered off-topic, and will be removed.

Commenters who make personal attacks or offensive posts will be blocked.

Thanks in advance for keeping the conversation civilized and on-topic.

  • @KQEDondemand

if we're going to consider religious principals we'll be moving in our places

  • @KQEDondemand I wish every moderator on YouTube would keep the uncivilised civilised. Thankyou.

  • your statement creates quite a conundrum. If our theories have *already* been "proven wrong" as you say then why would we have to cut down other theories for fear of being proven wrong?

we cut down theories because science is like evolution itself the strongest theories with the most evidence that can overcome intelligent criticism survive.

great theories thrive under scrutiny just as an athlete thrives on game day the trial makes you stronger and only the weak cry when put to the test

  • well put!!

  • Have you ever noticed when people tell you what other people think that they often sound like idiots?

    I have.

  • Why would that guy try to create a warming trend in the climate change of the planet?

    Oh wait....

I have heard that phrase before. Yes some people were yelling that there was 'global warming' despite being able to log on to the NOAA home site for free from any library in the nation to see temperature data. He did not want to heat up the planet. He thought it was actually happening. There must be a propaganda campaign concerning this issue.

    =\

  • Sorry you feel that way

  • So i guess an atom doesn't exist either, you can't touch one, seen one or anything. Why do u find joy in downing something that you can't explain because A LOT of technology was built on something we didn't know but now know

  • WOW.. Someone explain everything to me...I kind of understood but the nano cells in my brain were out of service for the time.

  • I couldn't agree more.

  • This technology should be used for the benefit of all human beings.

Not for PROFITS or ETHICS and SUPERSTITIOUS values.

This is the next step to a non-monetary system, let's not fuck up.

  • money isnt evil...greed is! Or the human application of profits for evil. However profit appeals to the cost benefit trade mechanisms that drive all biological organisms and evolution itself.

  • @DK0526 Money incentive human psico-biology to generate greed.

  • @Tommyfmx Money is just the trade/labor reciept for stored energy...another words its a just a usefull accounting mechanism...the real value underneath it all is the stuff we make and the services we render...things and services are whats desired by all biological organisms...weither they have paper reciepts or not. Desire for things isnt bad..in fact it motivates...and is why the squirrle works hard to store his nuts. Greed is exclusively seperate and instead desire unchecked by morality

  • @Tommyfmx cont>>>other wise you could just as well falsely imply that food generates greed and conclude that it should be done away with along with its systems of production...ie agriculture and capitalism.

  • I hope my children will get to see this...and they will look back and say: Wow, dad, you lived in shit times!

  • @sibko with all respect, I'd have to disagree. You seem to have the idea that by creating a non monetary system we can enhance the lives of people. The only way that a non monetary system that doesn't look for profits is put in place is via the government.

If the government is needed to subsidize nano technology in order for nano technology to be successful then nanotechnology is no more efficient than any other means of cleaning water or creating clean energy.

  • @sibko Applying this technology to social phenomena--e.g. economic systems--is about the biggest mistake humanity could make. Heizenberg already discredited the concept of determinism decades ago. Why should this apply any less to people's actions? What scientific technology could reveal individual preferences? What an arrogant notion this is; achieving it would mean man has accomplished God-like omniscience.

  • @Mises85 I think you are mistaken Sibko. Im pretty sure he didn't meant to apply this to human psychology or mind control or whatever you are talking about.. The abundance that we can have from using technology is what is going to lead os to a non-competitive economy. People will simply realize that their lives could be so much better if we start working together and sharing resources, knowledge, ideas and solutions..

We can make a wonderful world if we overcome our own fears..

  • @hede88 Such a world would be one without scarcity;a logical paradox. This must include the removal of time as scarce in the human life. people economize choices according to time and preference, exchange with others, and the most marketable goods emerge as mediums(money-taken over by gov unfortunately). It is all the function of the pursuit of one's preferences. While he may not have meant it, such a comment necessarily implies knowledge of others preference ordering-a psychological phenomena.

  • @Mises85 youtube "jacque fresco penn state lecture"

  • @hede88 thats brutal, may i quote you! ps you forgot about the elimination of pain.

  • @azmanabdula of course mate, you should not ask about that, i have it from someone ells too you know :) youtube "jacque fresco penn state lecture"

  • @sibko

PROFITS, junior, are what is going to make it possible. Stop being blindly liberal.

  • @sibko that sounds nice and all, but how will innovation be promoted? why would people want to make anything new if they is no personal gain? there are people who are good will enough to do things for others at their own expense, but those are few and far between. the only way a non monetary system could work is if everyone were on board with the idea to not gain anything for their work, otherwise it would quickly become a self destructive society

  • @sibko What you discribe is comunism... you americans finally cought up with the ideas of 100 years ago, good for you, now we can all embrace them without a witch-hunt aimed at progress.

  • @sibko You are right. I wrote a massive essay and in my conclusion I had a massive argument on how pharmaceutical companies are killing us for their own benefits. This world is full of bastards!

  • @sibko Yeah, tell that to military... they will listen.

  • @sibko yea but IT WILL BE USED FOR PROFITS!! business controls science, the scientists at berkely need investors to fund their research and sell information acquired by their research because it was in their investors INITIAL intrests. Why would any one help fund any project that had no POWER or Profit potential?!

  • The more I study science, the more I think we are the creation of someone/something more advanced than us. Nanotechnology looks like the progression toward that point of advancement where we will eventually be building self-sustainable life from the manipulation of matter at the smallest scale.

Just like the cells that make up our body have mechanical properties, I can see us starting to create cells and learning to build them together by giving them reproductive properties.

  • anyway, I'd like that somebody would tell me a video which talks about actual results in

nanotechnology like: Self-powered smart windows, trap captures cancer cells in blood...

I found articles but they're hard to understand due to I'm not english-speaking.

    thanks!

  • really informative video! im making a presentation about nanotechnology and i learnt here somethings that I didnt heared anywhere else like:

    · + surface, - volumen = more reactions

    · properties changes with the lenght of crystals cause of cinetic energy of electrons.

  • comments shud b related to the video...

    kudos to you jenfucius

  • I hope they can make nanobots.

  • and if you didnt know 76% of the world thinks americans are thick as pig shit

  • can't argue with that, i know people hate the US. I didn't say that the US government was doing things right.

  • Sorry, but I am a Mechanical Engineer at Cal Poly, I have a 4.0, and I really don't care about other peoples attacks on my religion. I have my beliefs, you have yours. When people attack eachother's beliefs, it simply means they are insecure about their own.

  • @galaxyman27 I only agree with you, when it's an unprovoked attack.

  • Looks like most of the people who commented on the video are more or less good educated atheists and scientists. I wish there were a better place to discuss things and have a result in the end. Instead, I am observing an unnecessary fight between brainwashed religion defenders and smart scientists.

  • Thank you very much for this film and post!!!

  • what type of plant is that at 6:30?

  • nano is so 90's

every one of us here is using nanotechnology in a broad sense of the word. the tracks on your cpu are 10s of nanometes wide.

  • No way nano is NOW! Quasicrystals are the future! Also look up Metamaterials!

  • HEY!F*CK Y*O

  • Dude seriosly, if everybody were like you this technology would never exist. Religion is the reason for war on this planet and will always be. I havent seen God creating any cool new inventions yet. He doesnt do shit and you know it.

  • And u fools dont even believe in technology.. Its not even a thing to believe in, its there, its working and u can touch it.

  • Dude what are you talking about... read The God Delusion.

  • @galaxyman27 credo quia absurdum, literally means "I believe because its absurd"

  • Dr. Guzman ... "THC can promote the autophagic death of human & mouse Cancer Cells"

Dr. Di Marzo ... "THC exhibits anti - tumor effects on various Cancer Cell types"

Dr. Mechoulam ... "we gave THC oil drops 400 times to children 1 -13 years old with Cancer & prevented vomiting & nausea 100%"

  • Nanotechnology ftw.

  • nanotechnology cures morgellons disease
