  • Terrible ordeal. But good for her for being able to save herself and not drown right away.

  • i feel bad for that girl.. thumbs up if they should of replaced the cord on the first place

  • goddamn what a nightmare

  • Not that this is relevant but... Best accent ever.

  • I'll take my chances

  • THAT IS JUST UNLUCKY

  • haha holy shit. i would never go bungy jumping in a country like zambia lol.

  • just to inform all those idiots who think there was crocodile in the river... WRONG!!!!! since when have you heard of crocs in a fast flowing river?????? come on guys read a book!!!!!!

  • It has been replaced. LOL It should have been replaced before something like this happens. Idiots

  • This should never have happened to that poor girl. How lucky she is to be alive, can only imagine how scared she was when she was alone in that water struggling to breathe and thinking that she might die. I hope she takes that company to the cleaners, clearly no safety checks performed, the frayed rope is even visible on this poor quality videoing of the jump. Scandalous!

  • Holy crap i dont want to go bungee jumping

  • Did they even apologize at the very least? The company only says publicly that they replaced the cord.I would certainly try to sue them even if I signed wavers.

  • lol .

  • Damn! I'd slap her all over for nothing! :)

  • Just wait until the cord breaks before replacing it that way it costs less ... retards

  • Shame your calculations are crap Christopher!

You've neglected to factor in wind resistance or the fact that the bungee cord had brought her almost to a complete stop before breaking and setting her off on a new descent far closer to the water than the 111m jump.

    Go back to school.

  • She hit the water at 46.64 m/s!

  • According to my calculations, she would have hit the water at 46.6 m/s. Ouch.

  • "Another girl lies about weight and plunges into water lol"

  • yea now im never going bungee jumping...sky diving is still on my list tho lol

  • Just going to come out and say it she deserved to fucking die but that was natural selections day of so whoopee one more retarded person still in the gene pool.

  • she didnt fall 111m the rope broke some of the fall

  • Am I gonna be the first one to say it? She's hot. Dibs.

  • How can that organisation INSIST their safety system is "safe" if this can happen....it's like saying skydiving is "safe"....its fun but definately not safe.

  • Jesus loves Erin!

  • @SupernaturalJesus that two timing whore said he loved me

  • since she is making shit up. why not tell the media she battled a crocodile while escaping. or that when she hit the water the traveld back in time and realized she needed to fall in the water so she did this to herself. yes people for publicity. lol if that was me id tell people to fuck off with the cameras. dont you think she has a right to deciede whether or not these things go public. it would make a sweet story to tell people when you meet them. but no. now the world knows

  • croc infested? yeah maybe down stream. Fucking stupid media trying to make it sound more dramatic than it really is.

  • If at first you don't succeed, you'd better not be bungee jumping.

  • Good warning to all the people who do this stupid crap.

  • @ItunesTopSongs I wouldn't be surprised if there were more risks for driving a car on the highway than making a bungee jump...

If I showed you a car accident, would you have the same reaction?

  • Funny how it happened in Zimbabwe but lots of people thought it happened in Australia.

  • yea, imagine u survive the jump, but drowned because the legs are tied

  • suck shit bitch

  • hmmmm, GG rope

  • this is Awful. Feeling pity on her

  • I'm not surprised that she survived. After all, She's Australian.

  • westerners that do these activities in shit countries should expect this. no government or saftey regulations. its like the overcrowded boats that go to islands in thailand. not enough life jackets, no regulations. its worse than driving a car without a seatbelt

  • The company says the new cords are safe. Yea. I'll just take their work for it. Right.

  • God took care of her. Praise the name of Jesus,.....

  • @tgillspy2 did god also make the cord snap? what a sick motherfucker, if i ever saw him irl i'd knock him the fuck out.

  • @tgillspy2 Hahahahaha, yeah your idiotic god loves her but allowed thousands of babies and children to die of malnutrition and curable diseases that day,

    HALLE-FUCKING-JULAH! You idiot!

  • I don't know much about bungee jumps over rivers, but why don't they have some sort of "emergency" crew with a boat that could have retrieved her?

  • @GrumpyOptimist People bungee jump for the thrill of the chance of being kill so a rescue boat defeats the purpose. Anyway that shit ain't free, what type of world do you live in. retard?

  • @Fendori I was taking you seriously until you resorted to calling me a retard. Taking out your personal issues on me because you cannot control yourself: No. And duh it's not free, but having a cheap little boat manned by some dude can't cost much. In fact, replacing the bungee cord so that it doesn't snap isn't free either. So maybe they should ignore that too? Oh, and then there are people who don't bungee jump because crap like that happens.

  • I've wondered that for a while now, well since some people (in the majority of interactions I've had concerning the Bungee etc topic) seem to deem me a 'sooky wuss' for not being keen on the whole idea of putting my life in the hands of those that clearly aren't up for prioritising safety measures. As a business owner i'd be quite concerned w/having the bottom end of the jump manned just in case, and I'm amazed that this is not industry standard.

Oh, also: @Fendori is just a silly troll :)

  • broken cord, hitting the water from 111m, crocodile infested waters, trapped by rocks, heading to rapids, bound feet - TROOPER haha

  • That way I am never going bungee jumping.

  • i thought she was bitten by the crocs, that would have been really ugly!

  • Comment removed

  • Con una cuerda de saco de patatas no se puede hacer Puenting!

  • The cord is obviously frayed. So much for safety checks and regulations.

  • @MasterAtheistic she signd the paper. they dont really have to after she signs the paper.

  • @tisilwm Even with the poor quality of the video I can see fibers of the rope sticking out all over the place. If someone tried to persuade me to go bungee jumping in a third world country and showed me that rope, I'd tell them to get tae f*ck!

  • @MasterAtheistic obviously it isnt. the rope is still intact after the thing that connecting the cord broke. yeah you heard me

  • The rapids are pretty hairy there, lucky not to have benn taken dow, but the crocs are only small as the big ones don't survive teh drop over the falls!

  • Chill out people , The Bungy Cord has been replaced :)

  • @100KA I'd tell that company to fuck right off, and sue them for all the money in the world lol

  • I THOUGHT SHE DIED!!

  • This story scares me so much...not only the rope ripped and fell 111m down, but she also got dragged down the river with her legs tied....i'm glad she survived without injuries!!

  • oh... feeling of relief. miracle.

  • adrenalin rush at its best!

  • Wow, great survival story. :-D
