I call "FOUL"; they ended this clip before the Stig drove them 'round the test track...and when he did, they used the FQ300 model, whose HP rating is closer to that of the WRX STi as to make a fairer test...and the Subaru WAS the quicker car. I wish we'd get the FQ series here in the 'States, but even our base GSR model is well over $30k...and the (much cooler) MR starts at over $40k...can't even imagine what the FQ330-SST, FQ360, or FQ400 would need to be sold for. Still love the fact that they compared a arguably aftermarket series Evo (before people start freaking out the FQ series EVOs are the brain child of Ralliart UK) if your going to compare an FQ series Evo against an STi you should get the S206 STi. But what people have to understand is that Evo and STi's both come from the same parent company Fuji heavy industries. And while yes i own 2 STi's Evo and STi's are almost identical.

i think Jezza's harsh on the Subaru it looks better than the saloon because that looked like an Evo rip-off the new Subaru looks awesome and which is Cheaper AND Faster? The Subaru albeit by 0.02 seconds but it still won ive seen the Subaru in Black with Orange stripes next to a White Evo with a Black Bonnet on Youtube it looks Badass and side by side they looked Awesome together Honestly i would rather have the Tricked Out Subaru Or Evo than a Ferrari they looked that much cooler.

I must admit I have rallied for Subaru Canada for a few years and never tried out a Mitsubishi until last year. Now I really was a fan of Subaru for the longest time but it is true that the Mitsubishi is almost in every way better and that Subaru. Its just soo much easier to drive and for the most part seems to stand up to rallying much better than the Subaru's, especially in relation to all the diff problems that Subaru has been have lately.

People Keep talking shit about the EVO. They arent trying to see which is the best Rally Car here. If you want a Rally car you take a Subaru. If you want a car for tarmac you take the EVO. Top gear U.S. Took a STI That had 320 HP (More then normal) And it was completely stripped out. And the EVO GSR Beat it around a Track by a second. And the EVO MR is even faster then the GSR. SO an Stipped out Beefed up STI Will still get beat around a Track by an EVO. And what guy cares for a cars looks.

I love top gear, but they always talk shit about thye WRX/STi. They should do a 2011 STi Vs. The EVO X. The new STi Sedan is SO much better looking than the EVO X and in the US has more horsepower. In the UK they offer lots of hyped up EVO's with more HP but not in the US so its never an apples to apples comparison on top gear UK.And lets see a comparison between the WRX and Ralliart, because it is really hard to beat the performance per dollar of the WRX Vs. any other car in its class.

Still choosing that STI over the Evo.. I reckon the STI has alot more exterior potential than the Evo at this point. From two angles(Back and front) The STI looks a whole lot better(Well, The Evo looks better from the front..). And I also reckon that the STI sounds alot better when you put something like a HKS Legamax Exhaust(Since the STI still retains it's signature rumble.).

The EVO's AWD system was based of the rally car well the WRX uses the same one based of the standard impreza. The EVO honestly is much better, they didn't change enough on the wrx to make it badass. The 4WD system in the EVO can adapt to different surfaces much better and provides more grip + better handeling. The Impreza's is to soft and slow.
