  • 3.33 - murder...

  • @lumpingcat ali is the one grabing joe and all he could do in that situation is go for his body

  • Only talking about Ali...

  • Oh my god! why is Joe keep using cheap body blows everytime he grabs Ali?...

  • yes but this an aged Ali watch him when he was younger in his prime for a better analyze..

  • how many blows to the head can frazier take? more than o.j.'s wife lmao

  • wope tht muslims ass!

  • OJ can't stop dancing

  • so svendar?smart boxing?

  • Does anyone else think it's funny that the female track star threw her baton at another racer? Lmao

  • xricardosilvax do you know anything about boxing?

  • oj simpson sound like a serial killer

  • R.I.P Cheamp

  • D.E.P joe

  • Who gives a shit about college basketball when one of the fights of the century was going on!

  • Ali won 9th. Frazier almost had him down in 10th. 5:18 left hook. Ali could take a shot ! Was hurt again more than once.

  • why OJ is popping up !!!

  • OJ beat White Girl 1-0

  • did you see that wink when he said mary decker? 'she will be the first to die...'

  • O.J. Simpson must always be high cuz he seems to be always shaking

  • A very good 9th from Ali. I'm an Ali fan but still have to say he does a substantial amount of holding in the second half of his career, this fight included. I box amateur and they let some holding go, that's just the way it is, but any more than a few times and they start deducting points.

  • Goddamn Oj. Go kill something.. I'd rather watch advertisements than see that fool.

  • Wow, Ali had Joe at the end of 9, but he almost went down with Joe's first hook in 10, suprised Joe didn't have enough to go after Ali in the 10th, Joe's conditioning is not the best. Cosell, very pro Ali, Ali was his meal ticket.

  • I'm not a big Ali fan, but give him credit for turning in a very good round 9.

As I said in "Part 3", poor refereeing. No way should Ali be allowed to hang on Frazier's shoulders like that. His body weight pressing down no doubt saps the strength of an opponent (and is not a part of boxing). Still, overall thus far I have Ali in front.

  • fucking oj i want to see the injuries

  • Ali should have had at least 3 points deducted in this fight for holding and hitting on breaks -- Not to mention pulling his opponents head down repeatedly -- a decidedly illegal tactic in boxing. Why refs let him get away with this throughout his career is just a bizarre mystery. It certainly gave him an unfair advantage.

And it made for repeatedly boring fights.

  • @dropway9 Absolutely, I'm glad I'm seeing other fans commenting about it. I feel the same way.

  • double murderer, wife beater, & accessory 2 armed robbery. Ya think? Uhh...yes.

  • Worst thing about this is having to listen to a Murderer crap on in between rounds.

  • @Ghstwn......Stay off dat menopause medication u old bitch

  • I was drinking Budweiser with a friend and watching Mary Decker and Zola Bud race when the 2 had a collision. My friend said "This Bud's for you" as Mary hit the Deck...

  • ALIIIIIII!

  • oj:

... to a miss ..... (looks down) Marry XD

  • I wonder if O.J. is now doing the prison commentary in Nevada. LOL! Joe and Ali remain sports legends. O.J. is simply is a life long scumbag. And was he dumb or what with that break in thing? Floated away off a double murder charge, and he does that! Stupid is what stupid does.

( Forrest Gump.) Bet he works the prison kitchen for Thanksgiving. They do know he can carve up the white meat. LOL!

  • @Ghstwn Yes, he was stupid, and he should have been smart enough to realize that the white man was after him after his (FAIR & JUST) acquittal of the murder of his ex-wife & Goldman.

  • @Soulblackman. Yes sir, He was innocent all right. (By the way, what "white man"? or did you mean to say: "all" white men?) If it's a race deal with you, then spit it out, don't jerk me around the block. Maybe now that it's 2011, they will find the that "real" killer for you that has eluded justice so long. Ever wonder what color the "real" killer is? If so, why?

But if the real killer is black, would a conviction only be because of the white man? Or because he was the real killer? ;)

  • @Ghstwn I don't need to substantiate what is already obvious. 4 the life of me, why was OJ even brought up HERE? I've NO clue what color the real killer was, but I DO KNOW that WHITE PEOPLE couldn't shake the notion of a black man being acquitted for killing WHITES! THAT'S the REAL ISSUE here. When OJ was RIGHTFULLY acquitted, the LADA determined that the case was CLOSED, so it's up to THEM to use their resources to reopen it & find the killer(s); NOT O.J. !

  • @Soulblackman You are correct. This is not a forum for O.J. So I'll let it be. Though it's quite sad that this new year has you as angry, insucure and bigoted as you obviously always are. A handle like "SoulBlackMan" is pretty dated. So you must be well past your 40's and unhappy. So why not just go with his aquittal and relax. (Of course those damn white people found him quilty in civil court and he owes 33 mil for that.) It's what white people do isn't it? U R right too, U Have "No" Clue."

  • @Ghstwn ANGRY? Just stating the FACTS! Bigoted? The "guilt" verdict was the JOKE of the century;; to be acquitted of murder, then held RESPONSIBLE? White justice at its WORST! I'm RELAXED, but IF I was over 40, you SEEM to understand my [JUSTIFIED] "anger".

  • @Soulblackman Well, now that you are all so relaxed, (LOL) Would you care to comment on ALI & FRAIZER II? It is the subject here. Or do you need to vent more about O.J. or White people, or Rodney King, or some other great injustice? Hmm?

  • @Ghstwn Cool as a CUCUMBER! I said what I needed to about the fight. Ali WON, yet was ROBBED of an opportunity to knock Frazier OUT, because of Perez' IMAGINARY bell. Frazier was protected, because in the eyes of the WHITE MAN, he was the anti-Ali; patriotic, taking NO political stance, and calling Ali, CLAY. U even see this when he lost to Foreman, when 4 no explainable reason, Mercante temporarily HALTS Foreman's assault on Frazier, due to some "INFRACTION" on the former's part.

  • @Soulblackman Yeah, that's how it all went down. I like how now that you are relaxed,.. that you type your major points in "CAPS"! Yes, you are so relaxed. Thank you for your insite. For me, Ali, along with the original Sugar Ray Robinson, were two of the finest examples of boxing sceince, along with toughness and intellegence. I doubt either will be matched in their talent and ability any time soon. Enjoy the new year. (But those damn white people are out there.) One is after you I bet.

  • @Ghstwn If utube allowed BOLD, I wouldn't have to use caps. I know it's shouting, but I can find no more effective of a manner to emphasize my major points.

  • @xricardosilovax Datz bcuz for a boxer with long-reach, ur jab is ur most effective punch

  • @YUNGVANNAH88 , Stick with real English. Using "Datz" is not really a shortcut over That's. Bcuz is just embarrassing. Don't have the time to actually spell? ( It will take a moment of thought) Then stay off line. Cuz eye c u az a idiot. An u r. ;D

  • Why OJ between rounds? Very cheesey.

  • Fuck you O.J!!!

  • @Svendar jajajajaja that's right Fuck Youuuuuu

  • Thumbs UP if you watched this fight for O.J. Simpson.

  • @ruslanio I came for the great fight, but stayed for the O. J.

  • ali is talented....but he uses just one strategy...he strikes while going back using his long arms....and when he reaches corner he hold his oponent to get to the midle again...and so do the strategy over and over...

  • @xricardosilvax And you become heavyweight champion twice in a decade where your skills are gone.

  • @xricardosilvax So true, over and over and over...

  • @xricardosilvax in that sense frazier had one strategy. just keep throwing punches lol. ali used his mind.

  • @xricardosilvax Thats two strategys than what u said and how smart he was not to take as much hits thats why he did that

  • @xricardosilvax

Yeah bro, Ali was like Nazis, always with just one or two succesful war strategies, like Blitzkrieg!... Once you use only one strategy for fight you are DOOMED to loose.

  • @xricardosilvax Yes but he didnt fight for 3 years .. Look at his fights when he was in his prime 1964-1966

  • @xricardosilvax have u watched other fights by ali...? clearly u have not! ur just another ignorant and/or stupid guy on the internet. u watch 1 fight and u think that he fights that way!

  • @dragonfurp CLEARLY you are stupid enough to dont realize that in this video is showing ONE of Ali´s fights...and I have commented this one...so if you want me to comment another fights just ask...it seems you like my comments..thanks

  • @xricardosilvax lol... every fighter sets up a plan for what strategy they are gonna use in a fight! in this fight ali chose that strategy. A little tip! dont formulate ur words so that it sounds like u are summing up his carrer...yes!

  • @dragonfurp my bad if it sound like that...not my intencion

  • @xricardosilvax When your the Greatest you dont need alot of strategy's....just sayin

  • @xricardosilvax You should watch his fights from the Olympics through '67. He was a different boxer then. Plus, he would strike going forward, esp. when going for a big punch. He did it a lot, esp., when he saw an opponent was really hurt.

  • @xricardosilvax i have to disagree...in ali and frazier's third fight he would stay on the ropes and then explode with a flurry....sure he'd hold alot but a lot of fighters do that...ali's strength was to fight on the outside...you cant fault him for wanting to stay on the outside. Frazier was an inside fighter..two different styles of fighter. holyfield would always hold and head but a lot and he was an amazing champ as well....dont pick and choose. All fighters have strengths and weaknesses

  • @xricardosilvax well if it works why not keep using it that's like saying my food is good but i only cook it the same way

  • @mikezilla3 yeah...

  • @xricardosilvax actually most of the time he steps forward when punches to get more power, he just runs around the ring to tire his opponent out, its a very useful strategy, but i do understand what your trying to say,

  • Comment removed

  • @xricardosilvax Firstly.. Would you rather be in Ali or Fraziers condition after the fight? Secondly, name me 1 fight where a prime Ali held his opponent as frequent as this? Also, are you suggesting he used this strategy all the time? I remember a certain fight where he fought on the ropes for 3/4. Finally, Joe is a much smaller inside fighter and notice how Ali didnt even go for the body.. How do you expect Ali to throw at Joes head whilst it is buried in his belly button.

  • @xricardosilvax If it works well why not continue using it?

  • Too cool watching a fight like this after 1st time as a kid with my dad cheering for Frazier hoping draft dodger Ali gets his face crushed (my dad's words), Me cheering for Ali. Now I see that Frazier had Ali backing-up the whole fight after round 3. Ali throws his right sparingly, rarely connecting with any impact. Ali looks out of breath afer the end of R9. Dundee yelling at Ali to stay in the center of the ring - Ali ignores him. My dad was right! Ali loses this fight to decision

  • @popeiix err no ali won this fight. and his hand was hurt in training so he didnt really throw the right with to much stank. joe came on pretty wel inthe late middle, but he was behind before that

  • Look at the way O.J is moving , as if he is sitting there wiggling his ass ! lol...

  • Duz frazier even kno how 2 jab, or all he knoz iz 2 lunge wif that left, if ali had more power in hiz punchez and a fit ryte hand wif tha numba he connectd in this fyte, frazier wld hav been floored

  • @Ndinogona but he doesn't have the power, Frazier does you mug which is why he was running for the whole fucking fight.

  • lol so funny to see O.J's head pop out everytime...

  • Jesus Christ...OJ is just fucking embarrassing to watch.

what an idiot. oh and a wife murderer too.

  • Joe just had that left hook, thats it.The only thing in his arsenal....

  • O.J :D:D:D:D murder host :D

  • These 2 look gassed, both fighters were slower and more sloppy than the first fight. They really did a number on each other in that first fight, neither were able to regain their form from that night in '71.

  • OJ: "We'll be getting back to the 10th round in just a minute. Right after I cut this blonde's throat!"

    Weird....

  • ali kicked fraziers ass clearly, i have scored the fight 9-3 for the greatest

  • @t3di2 yep! I think Ali clearly won on points, I fault Frazier. He didnt show the killer instinct he should have. Every right hand Ali missed, Joe should have let the left hook fly! but he didn't. Ali clearly won this fight...The O.j. interlude is creepy!

  • OJ is creepy in between the rounds, he looks like he could stab someone at any second.

  • round 9 is the way ali should have fought always not only against frazier but everyone. bouncing a little on his toes a little and throwing quick punches of all kinds he must have landed 26 crisp hard punches

  • Boring 9th RD.

  • @syrandon...who cares?!!! U work for tmz or something? His personal life(30years later) dont hav nothin 2 do with this...

  • OJ Simpson shaky shaky hahaha

  • I cant stop laughing in the midle of rounds with O.J. Simpson.. hilarious the way he shakes his body while he talks.

  • Muhammad Ali is My Greatest Hero..

He is THE Man I Admire THE Most ....

    BUT...

Seriously... Joe Frazier won this fight... , then, on the other hand, in my opinion, Ali should have won the first fight on points scored...

And , Ali won the Third cuz Joe's corner stopped it , cuz it was too dangerous for his eyes and his brain health...

But , really .. I really think That Ali in this fight was running and .... like , when he hit Frazier... Really Frazier's punches were more telling

  • i agree ali was getting slower at this age and joe was getting stronger at this age

  • Joe did do alot better than people think. The thing that puzzles me is that Joe almost everytime positioned himself poorly. And he didn't come up with the L hook nearly as much as he should have. Joe spent too much time ducking and weaving but not following up with punches. He should have up'ed his body work in the corner at least anothe 10%..One more thing....IN YOUR FACE O.J!!

  • I think he was trying to use the righthand more at that point in his career. He did land some vicious rights on Ali in this fight. It just didnt have the power of his left.

Ali ofcourse was looking for the hook and trying to avoid it at all times.

Frazier did make this fight closer than people want to admit.

  • Former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier recently was arrested in North Philadelphia for assaulting a woman in a domestic dispute, police said.

Frazier, 60, was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, police said.

Someone called 911 from the home and when police arrived, a woman who opened the door had injuries to her lip and face and alleged that Frazier struck her

  • That overhand right Frazier landed at the end of the 8th round was the best right he ever hit Ali with in all their fights. Ali was hurt but the bell saved him.

Ali was always a well blessed man.

  • Great fight, and thanks for the post. Too bad the between round ABC commentary was conducted by a murderer. How's the Big House O.J?

  • 7-3 Ali Ali has slowed down but he still fights well at this stage

  • is it just me or does it seem like the commentator is trying to ignore every punch that frazier throws.

  • If the Ali movie is accurate, Cosell and Ali were buddies... Big time respect.

  • It's just you. The commentator says pretty much all of Fraziers left hooks that land. Besides that Frazier isnt doing much more

  • when he gets outlanded in that round 5to1 it's hard to notice them.

  • believe it or not, that commentator is O.J Simpson. Times have changed

  • Everytime Frazier threw a punch the crowd cheered whether it landed or not. The commentator pointed that out repeatedly. Everytime Frazier did land a big punch, Cosell said as much.

  • @kngjames83

Cosell loved Ali. He tried to be unbiased but his love for Ali came out many times.

  • @ExplosiveThinMan yes he did. but he was also the 1st to ponit out alis fading powers, even to his face

  • Today's highlights, a white Ford Bronco was reported stolen. Hmmmm.

  • Referee Tony Perez should have been awarded a share of Ali's purse for his impact on the outcome of the fight. He tried to rationalize his refusal to warn Ali by claiming it is not illegal to hold, only to hold and punch. Utter nonsense. Henry Akinwande got disqualified for holding Lennox Lewis like a cowardly octopus. Ali's clutching was not that bad, but more than deserved warnings and deductions at some point. Frazier came to fight. Ali came to run and hug.

  • cassius clay is a piece of shit,,,joe frazier was a man,,,,,if you dare count how many times clay iniates holding in this fight,,,its ridiculous,,,,joe never had a chance to fight,,,its called EXCESSIVE HOLDING,,,,no point deductions no warnings,,,,ive seen great championship fights where the fighters were not separated once for holding,,,,clay ,,greatest my ass,,,greatest holding champion of all time,,,he stole his title back from leon spinks,,by punching twice then holding on like a bear,,

  • Hmm. Let's see. Frazier vs. Foreman: Frazier beaten like a child and knocked to the ground repeatedly. Ali vs. Forman: Ali knocks out Foreman. I guess if you define a man by how badly he gets beaten up, then Frazier is definitely a man. Oh, sorry, I forgot to gnash my teeth and weep excessively because poor lil Joe kept getting his head held by that nasty Ali; that is, when his head wasn't being hit repeatedly by lefts, rights, and blazingly fast combinations. Boo, fucking hoo.

  • Frazier beat Chuvalo, Ellis, Quarry, Mathis, Foster and Jones easier than Ali did, and spanked Ali when it mattered most. So what's your point? He also dared to fight Foreman twice, something Ali never did...

  • He beat Chuvalo, Ellis, Quarry, Mathis easier? He "spanked" Ali? Were you on dope when you watched these fights? You're sure you saw that first fight right? Ali was ahead on points until Frazier's lucky left hook--even then Ali should have won on points. But let's see, out of three fights between them who came out ahead? Oh right, Ali, 2-1. And he dared to fight Foreman twice and got slaughtered, humiliated, kinocked down repeatedly, beaten like a child. Ali fought Foreman only once but won.

  • Just have the advantage of not watching Ali whilst high on the fumes from his jock like his fanboys do.

All well and good if you want to promote Ali for beating a near shot/near blind Frazier and completely shot/completely blind Frazier who still damn near killed him, but it was Joe who won when it actually counted. Yes Frazier spanked him the first time. Ali was out-boxed, out-punched and knocked down twice. That's right, twice!

Frazier never got whipped by no Neon Leon either!

  • So you're saying Frazier was nearly blind and shot the second and third time they fought?Only because Ali punched him in the face so often. And their third fight was for the Heavyweight Championship--it counted as much as the first one dimwit. Ali was knocked down once by Cooper back in '65 or so and ONCE by Frazier in their first fight. I'd tell you how often Frazier got knocked down in his fight against Foreman but I don't have my calculator with me.

  • Frazier's eye problems long predated him setting foot in the ring with Ali. That's well known to all but the dimwits apparently.

Ali also got dumped on his rump by the great Sonny Banks and bartender Chuck Wepner and yes he was floored twice by Frazier.

Their 3rd fight was a fight between two diminished fighters. Going in Frazier was viewed as totally shot. The first was the only one that mattered, the biggest fight in boxing history when both were unbeaten and closest to their primes.

  • If it's well known to all but the dimwits then how do you know about it? Wepner stepped on Ali's foot and Frazier did not knock Ali down twice in that fight--sorry, delusional one. The first time Ali slipped, it was not ruled a knockdown. And speaking of being in one's prime, this was only Ali's third fight after a 3 and a half year layoff. And once again, I wouldn't gloat about Ali getting knocked down twice in his entire career, after Frazier's humiliation with Foreman. Beat him like a child.

  • Heh heh, seems you're an even dimmer dimwit than I credited you for my friend. Frazier's eye problems dated back to the 60s. He was effectively blind in 1 eye by the time he faced Ali in 71. Frazier's eye troubles and hypertension more than make up for any ring rust Ali had.

I don't care what some official ruled it as. Officials had Ali beating Young, Norton, Jones etc when those who watched the fights know better. It was a knockdown.

And again, Joe never lost his title to Leon like Ali did.

  • Jesus, more excuses for Frazier getting whupped--twice by Foreman, twice by Ali. Yeah, it was his eyesight. Sure. Keep believing that. And by the time Ali fought Spinks he was a shadow of his former self, his speed gone, his reflexes shot; and he still managed to beat him in a re-match. Too bad Frazier's eyesight wasn't better--he could have gotten a better view of being pummeled by Foreman, lifted off the canvas, and being repeatedly knocked down and humiliated. This never happened to Ali.

  • "Yeah, it was his eyesight"

Glad you agree. His diminishing sight is why he relied on his left more as he got older. Ali was just lucky he never faced the prime 60s Frazier who was healthier and a 2-fisted puncher to boot.

Got news for you fella, Ali was Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World when he lost to Leon, a greenhorn with 7 pro fights to his name. Doubtful any other reigning heavy champ lost to such a limited opponent. Joe at least lost his to a prime, devastating HOFer.

  • I agree with your assessment! Most people like to talk without having any knowledge of theses fighters.

  • Thanks. I find people who make excuses for Frazier's losses to Ali and Foreman to be wildly prejudiced. There was never any dispute about who won this re-match. None. Except in their rather deluded minds.

  • Yeh I guess HBO's sportswriting team like Jim Lampley are deluded as well.

  • Good points.

Ali won alot of fights in the 70s that he clearly lost. This one was that bad of a decision though Joe couldve won it.

The Norton fight in Yankee Stadium and the Young fights were total robberies.

  • And the stoppage in Ron Lyle's fight, stopped without a knock down.

  • Good points.

  • Losing to Leon Spinks is a disgrace.

  • Ali was a greater fight than Joe but head to head they were equal.

With an unbiased judge and a competent referee Frazier wins this fight hands down. It couldve went either way as it was.

  • @ExplosiveThinMan - I totally disagree Ali won this fight - the idea is hit while not being hit .. Ali did way m ore of that - thats why joe lost

  • That's the idea for amatuers - in the pros, there's more to consider

  • Ali`s tacic of shoeshining was an amatuer tactic. Quick slaps that look good from the cheap seats but in reality have nothing on them and dont land clean most of the time.

Frazier was landing most of the real solid punches.

  • Yet he knocked out some of the hardest punchers that ever fought. Liston and Foreman. Ali knew when to score, and knew when to put some heat on his punches.

  • Ali was a great fighter but he did stop Foreman and that was a great win. I dont think it was his power that was the reason though. It was his Ring IQ and George just ran out of gas. Ali did accumulate some punches on him.

That just goes to show how tough Frazier was that George couldnt take 1/3 of the punches from Ali that Joe did.

The Liston fight? Well most people know what happened there. Sonny didnt win any Oscar`s for that acting performance.

  • @ExplosiveThinMan Foreman was able to continue, he was up at 8. Foreman had a good chin.

  • @capablemachine

He had a good chin but he was dead tired. George didnt complain at all when the fight was stopped. Ali wouldve finished him in brutal fashion the next round.

  • @ExplosiveThinMan George did complain, he complained a lot afterwards. Ali was out on his feet as well.

  • @capablemachine

What fight are you talking about?

  • you arent right! There is criterias in scoring and there isnt a criteria 1 hard punch beats full round of combinations ; good footwork and defence ! Amateur tactic axaxxaxa! Thats why all of the great boxers used it! Ali Leonard Pep and all of the other guys which are so great because they were great boxers and they were preceding their era! They were boxers in the brawlers game! The arent chickens like Mayweather theyre just great techinicians

  • @ExplosiveThinMan ----Frazier was, but the accumulation of punches takes its toll also, and counts in the scoring.

  • are u fucking stupid, frazier aint not boxer , look at ali dodge his punches liek he can see them coming froma a mile away and pop him 6, 7 times

  • @SA2137

He dodged Frazier`s punches so well that he had blood pouring out his nose. LOL.

  • did frazier beat forman

  • pity oj never got in the ring, mind you his gloves would never of fitted,

  • OJ giving the Hockey scores.... priceless

  • Great post and great fight of course. But how surreal to see a young O.J. Simpson delivering the sports update.

  • Indeed, weird to see the future "Butcher of Brentwood".

  • @carbert68 ya isnt it though?! wod athunk hed become an accused murderer and finally a convicted extortionist

  • @carbert68 yeah its crazy
