I love the song but I don't think the video goes with it. The song seems to give a feeling of peaceful, calm, cozy loneliness and the video seems to give a feeling or horrible, sad, unwanted loneliness....like the alcohol and the people cradling their heads in their hands and crunching their bodies up like they have a headache and want to escape the world....I don't know its good but these are just my feelings...

I almost always listen to Details when I'm on my way to and from school. Generally I get this song on my way home late at night, and I think on more than one occasion it's been foggy and lightly drizzling. It's amazing how fitting it is when I'm walking past a park with light from the street lamps filtering through the fog. This song was made for moments like that.

Am I the only one who, when I listen to this song, has always thought of being in a quiet diner on a rainy night?

I can just imagine sitting in that lonely booth and leaning against the window, looking out at a streetlight as rain pours down, and it's kind of cold, but you're still warm in the way you are when you curl up a bit and get comfortable.

Anyway, great quality to the song, thank you for uploading it. Nice video, too. I sure do love this lady.

I always imagined sitting on a wet bench in the rain overlooking the sea in the wee hours of the morning, all clothes sodden with water, staring into the distance and trying to establish the horizen where the rain ended and the sea began.

Although, that's probably because I first listened to this song when I went for a walk along the coast, in the middle of the night when it was raining. It was an amazingly relaxing experience :)

@Stigma231 Agreed. It's sort of a anticlimactic resolution. I had an experience similar to that, more, it was in the spring, and the winter rain was just ending. I was leaving a party for just a moment, it was at my mother's duplex, where for a couple of years, I'd grown up. When I exited, the rain felt like a shield, and I began having thoughts that I was watched, something was coming for me. The thoughts kept happening for a few months, and, then disappeared. It was, discomforting and calming.

@Stigma231 omg i thought the same thing, and sometimes i think of lonely people having muffled conversations in a diner, and the waitress clanging the spoons on the counter trying to find the right radio station since the rain is messing up the signal, while all in all the scene never changes because the people there have no where else to go. in a way it's sad, but comforting. one of my favorite Imogen songs.
