@SpecialAndNotDumb haha don't be jelly man... I happened to read an article about this hotrod, and I looked it up on youtube out of curiosity, I believe what I posted is a copy pasta.
"Sneaky Pete" started out as a 1964 Peterbilt tractor. Rucker stretched the frame and installed a 1794-cubic- inch 12-cylinder engine from a 1951 M47 Patton tank, akin to the one in Leno's giant rod.
wow, for a 1964 video this is actually great quality!
I mean damn i would think you just made it black and white but then i would be lieing.... Great hotrod!! Peterbuilt always knew how to make things cool!
Summer of 06' I was driving back to Ky. with a 928GT I'd just bought in Mesa....Took some pictures of this truck without decals in Winslow, Arizona.... An older hippie type gentlemen was polishing the front wheels on it... He said it had a Continental tank engine in it... He also said there were two more similar to it built by the same guy....
I wanted to ask him to fire it up, but didn't want to be too much of a pest... Cool Truck though....

That's the same engine as jay leno's tank car, still in non-turbo carbureted form. It's a SOHC gasoline engine, called the AV-1790

It's not diesel, of course it doesn't
f100swb 3 years ago
My error...
hovanti 3 years ago
it IS a diesel dude.
theninja001 2 years ago
It's got triple carbs on it... Diesels don't have carbs....
f100swb 2 years ago 12
it has a Patton tank engine in it, a Continental V-12 air cooled DIESEL engine....
theninja001 2 years ago
I suggest you do a bit more research, V12, yes, air cooled, yes, Diesel, no. 6.5:1 compression and magneto ignition do not a diesel make.
f100swb 2 years ago
@theninja001
Those are sweet too...Air cooled V12...What a Monster...
scott93257 1 year ago
It has three air filters. In do not see any carbs specifically.

@f100swb my thoughts exactly... wtf?

@f100swb
Probably triple turbos
scott93257 1 year ago
@f100swb before fuel injection, their were carburetors...

@firesquare16 No doubt... Check my videos... You'll see that I own such things... However, a diesel and a carburetor do not go together.
f100swb 1 year ago
@f100swb i dont think its diesel, it sounds like a giant old v12 gas engine. look at the rocker boxes. Like a liberty v12 plane engine or somtin.

Couple of things. There was no such thing as a 359 in 1964. It may have some 351 in it. The grill looks to be 1940's Pete which is pretty cool.

kewl... Someone close to where l live built an older mack truck like that.. he drives it with a custom built camper trailer behind
