I saw these guys in San Antonio in 1987 when they were getting started. They opened up for The Cult and back then Axle already seemed like a Nut Job. Too bad he killed one of the best bands around. Slash was too cool, he high fived me and threw his guitar pick my way but it was lost in the crowd. The Cult still schooled them though. Long live Ian!

Well, after reading a Slash interview on Esquire Magazine, I see it as very possible for the two to reunite at the Rock N' Roll hall of fame this year. And a few days ago, I really did think I wanted it, but after hearing Axls voice these days I'm not sure I'm to excited about it anymore.. We'll see what happens.

Slash did himself a favor by leaving. Now don't get me wrong, I was a huge GNR fan back in highschool but Axle lost the only thing that he contributed to the band. Slash's guitar playing is as fresh as it was back in the day. I'm not hating on Axle but he really needs to hang up his hat or at least stop attempting his high pitched songs and just do Mr. Brownstone and other songs that he is capable of singing. Smoking three packs a day and chugging whisky will ruin your voice. A rock Icon he was.

Slash and Tom Morello are the two who i thought were the best for my generation.. I love the real GNR and slash but listen to them both playing live. Morello is better.
