@kayleacunningham Anyone can sing with enough practice. All that matters is pitch, whether or not you are in time, and passion. If you are asking about the tone of your voice, that doesnt matter. Although certain kinds of music have a general "tone" to them you can find or make music to match your voice.

@AKASLOVERBOY You mean, what the diaphragm IS? To be honest, I don't really know, but I know that one uses it to support his singing. For instance, sing a note. Now, start the note with a hard, quick burst of "HUUH". For instance, "HUUAAAAAAAH!" You'll find you have lots of strength and support.

wat shes doing wrong is shes using her jaw muscles to make the sounds. ur suppose to just focus on making ur vocal chords to make these sounds (hold your jaw and relax those muscles if you have to). Thats the point of exercises like this

everything shes doing in all these vids r real exercises and right, she just does the examples WRONG. I know all this just from middle school choir. lol. If u can ignore her n just listen to the piano n do the exercise right, u shuld be fine.

This is a TERRIBLE exercise to perform. It basically causes your vocal folds to SLAM together. Just because they slap her on youtube and call her a voice teacher does not qualify her as one.

Some videos are cool but a voice teacher would be optimal since s/he can give you live feedback. It's expensive though so make sure that you can afford it first. Otherwise just stick to the videos for now :P. I recommend Eric Arceneaux's videos.

and one way to hit a high note is that don't focus on it to much when you get higher try letting more air out and a very good way is that ... looking at a focus point like a dot on a wall and trying to throw that sound right at it .. it keeps your notes more in focus too .. just one thing i really like to do when i sing lol

you will not see her diaphragm working, especially not with a read pullover, as using it just looks like someone is blowing up a aerostat. You can even hear that she is using her diaphragm!

The exercises are the same that I do in singing lessons and her technique is as good as she would have studied singing.
