  • (MGEX) Minneapolis Grain Exchange open outcry trading pit: 1881 to December 19, 2008. Trading is only done electronically now. :-(

  • My God, that is so beautiful the way they trade. I'm behind a computer all day trading options and futures. But the way these guys do it looks so much more exciting! I love it! :-D

  • what are they yelling?

  • JEWS!

  • its just a pure and simple technique guys. You either get your chops up and be heard, or be quiet and get left behind. Taking the second option means you lose

  • You know this is very similar to watching horse racing with a room full of people some people are screaming and others are celebrating with every result that comes in lol.

  • Hillarious!!!!!!!!

  • Ha! That dude came out of nowhere and stole the show. I don't think I'd be very good at floor trading but I could sit and watch all day. I wish they had a cable channel or just a live streaming feed.

  • Reminds me back when we were on the floor on Liffe! *sigh* I miss those years! I am def getting back to the floor @ chicago CME or CBOT fuck trading on the desk is for pussies and nerds!! This is where the real fun is!!!

  • All that pushin' and shovin', hootin' and hollerin' I'm surprised anything ever gets done. I guess it works, it's been around for 150 years

  • that market is very chaos.

  • amazing

  • this looks like it must have been either:

    a) the funnest job in the world

    b) the most stressful, horrific job in the world

    c) a combo of these both perhaps!

  • How in the hell does anyone keep track of who bought what to whom and for how much? LOL LOL. All I see is a lot of yellin', screamin', pushin' and shovin'. LOL I guess this job would be great for someone who is hyper active ADD.

  • @Pancho2413

He had a more competitive offer price for his wheat contracts which spurred interest among the buyers.

  • @Pancho2413 OMG!! I could see that he sold almost 30 futures contracts like 4000 tons of wheat; with a starting price of 870.00 and apparently a final price of 840.00 that means he wons around $45,000dllrs in less a minute. But these days I've seen guys who trade more than 200 contracts XD
