@IHeartMyKittyKan If you played Reach, you would understand. Covenant ships must drop their shields before they can fire their huge beam at the ground. So what happened was that the ship was about to fry Truth's ship and dropped the shields, then High Charity came. So basically, the meteor hit at the worst possible moment, and it was a BIG meteor when you think of big it was compared to the very big ship.

Gravemind is the central intelligence of the Flood, basically the brain. Gravemind is how the Flood are able to coordinate massive assaults, and why the Flood are such effective killers. In fact, the Flood are telekinetically linked through the Gravemind (I think that's right). When the Flood talk, it's actually Gravemind communicating through the Flood soldiers.

Yeah whenever the newborn Halo is activated above the ARK, it destroys High Charity and the Flood nest in it. His death is not shown.
