I was in Glenwood Springs that week visiting friends who are raft guides for Blue Sky and they pulled this up. They had been sent to the video by some co-workers who were there and all the geese made it out just fine. Another note, the water was only about 40 or 45 degrees when this was shot.

Actually animals are more than capable of having fun. Nat Geo showed a bunch of crows who were climbing up a small bank of snow then turning on their backs and "sledding" down and repeating it.. So I would like to think they were maybe having some fun. They know they can fly away but didn't. I think they enjoyed it for a while.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO STUPID?

1. The "professional water birds" statement wasn't meant to be taken literally. Of course the geese do not have careers (can't believe I even had to say that). She was basically saying that the birds were natural swimmers and good in the water.

2. She also said that she doubted that the geese were harmed by the wave so NO THEY DIDN'T DIE so you don't need to keep leaving comments asking if they did.
