  • I think the 1994 version had superior costuming. They did a lot of research on the styles, fabrics, etc. pertaining to that area of the country during the early Civil War era. Some of these dresses look a bit modern.

  • im supposed to read the thick book of little women because its a requirement in our school but im too lazy to read so instead im watching it=))THANK YOU YOUTUBE!!!

  • @princessexito well just don't mention anything about Aunt March reading Jo's book because that would give it away that you cheated. A movie adaptation usually makes a lot of changes from the original.

  • @churchmousie k thanks:D

  • Um weren't they all supposed to be younger after all in the bok Amy was twelve, Beth was thirteen, Jo was fifteen and Meg was sixteen they lokk a bit old :/

  • @nawalhaque

jo and meg start at 15 and 16 in novel but end at 21 or 22 at novel . so you never see in any adaption of novel an actress under 20 acted as jo or meg

  • @dearashymashy2

    Ahh that makes sense :)

  • I love Jo she is cool! I thought she was 12 cause she acted like it in the book lov it !

  • I think Jo and Meg's dresses are stunning and attractive... It shows them off instead of their dresses :)

  • BILLY GARDINER INVENTED THE SHAG.

  • the only reason i came here is cuz i read the book and was wondering if there is a show for it... there is... now i cant stop watching........

  • Wow it's so... crazy that Susan Dey is playing a girl who is supposed 2 be plain. There is nothing plain about her. 8:54 when the guy said "I hoped you'd be as plain as you look." But I like Susan as Jo, of course I didn't see the previous n new one so I have nothing to compare it to. I like this movie so far. I think they cast the rite person as Jo, but her looks don't match with her character's description.

  • 4:39 the back of her dress isn't scorched....

  • @BenedictRoend yes she would. In the book, Mr. Lawrence becomes her friend. She's shy but she makes him think about his daughter who died

  • WRONG. Beth would NEVER talk at Mr. Laurence!

  • lol Aunt March told Jo that girls do notwaste their tmes on novels but when she left the novel auntmarch quickly read it...lol

  • Why is Meg being spoilt with attention over her pretty looks and Jo treated as an ugly duckling?? I think this lady Susan Dey has the face of an angel - quite possibly the prettiest casting they've ever had as Jo, though my favourite acting by far is June Allyson's.

  • @Ilovecats112233 Meg isn't just pretty, she's ladylike and interested in girl things. Jo may be pretty, but she's blunt-spoken and tomboyish and doesn't play the social "game" as well.

  • @Ilovecats112233 i've read the book a hundred times over; Jo never cares how she looks and she relates better with boys since she's a tomboy
