y'all are noobs. just got 63590 on the namco plug and play tv version. no crashing, only slow down to 160 MINIMUM on the 4th turn. never go off the course. NOOBS

I have the NAMCO. Highest score I have gotten is 59090, yeah the track score is fixed which means the only way to up it is to go thru the ends of qualifying and the race at 195MPH, which maximizes points from coasting. I'm not sure if going off track lowers the points or if taking the longer route around a curve makes more points...

I just got through beating it with a score of 60,150 which is the highest i have seen so far :) It's a fun game. :D

I have the original full arcade game, I've scored exactly 60000, which I beleive is the high score. I didn't downshift one time.

OK - Gotta ask here. My personal best is 58090 With Pole Position on qualifying round. The track points are fixed and the passing bonus is 50 per car. To get numbers like 62 - 68K would require passing A LOT more cars, which doesn't seem possible. Any explanation or are on different versions of the the game?

i got 58890 without pole position, had i had it i would have broke 60,000. of course that was a 3 hour endurance run with a friend of mine.

I'm happy that I have something to base my score off of now. I scored 64,000.

Scratch that. My score is 62040. the 64000 was on a non-original version opf pole position.
