  • I really wish they would write a new album

  • Cracks me up how you can hear the munch munch munching of the carrots.

  • i am the same age as their daughter... is she hot? lol

  • Interesting that when asked if it would be another 5 years before the next album, David seems like he plans on at least one more, as he just got the studio set up and all. I'll never stop waiting for the next album.

  • I think I finally understand why men find Harriet appealing. My uncle saw this vid and he said "she's nice, i'd love to marry her." I asked why and he replied "well, it's not like she bickers much innit?" Her soft-spoken wit and easy charm is complementary to Dave's loquaciousness and humor.

  • @joliecide

That may have a little to do w/ it, but for me it's her voice. From the 1st time I heard Harriet,( on Atlanta college radio in 1990) it made me stupid. It's like a trance. There is something deeply warm & feminine about her voice. She's a siren.

I'm American & have a very hard time deciphering their lyrics. I know some of their lyrics are very meaningful, BUT, truth be told, she could be singing about taking out the garbage, and it would have the same effect on me.

  • hmm they are an english band?hmm not irish? Harriett's english? lmao this changes everything.. im kidding.

hmm where the blood pudding & english full breakfast? who cares about rabit food? I want meat.

  • She's so incredibly English looking. :-)

  • Far from the comment above - I think David was very well aware of what Radiohead were about at the time.

  • Very nice to hear rhe opinions of Harriet and David. Thanks for the Up

  • the interviewer once said hello to me in covent garden.

  • Charm is so precious. It's torture waiting for these guys to come back!

  • Makes my heart ache.

  • Need moar Sundays!!

  • let them speak you idiot !

  • They seem like some nice people. Harriet is an angel.

  • Man I love her laugh

  • love, love, LOVE Harriet's voice

  • What the heck happened? I thought I heard them say they were gonna record more after Static and Silence? As much as I love The Sundays, I'll never understand why they didn't. F*** Geffen, anybody would have picked them up. I am disappointed.

  • Happy Birthday Harriet !!!

  • It's TIME FOR A NEW ALBUM!!! Please!!!

  • This idiot was hired for his ability to fill dead-space with childish prattle. I always hated him. Terry Christian is much better.

  • They bring the Sundays in and start talking about carrots for like five minutes.

The presenter still sucks ten years later.

  • Did he say Radiohead was not doing well? I beg to differ. They had just released OK Computer in June of that year with massive sucess! hmm...maybe I just heard wrong.

  • I think it was just a joke.

  • A wee bit irony in there

  • @mondaymelancholy yea it was the 90's people were pros at sarcasm

  • Yeah, he was being sarcastic.

  • Guess they couldn't afford that second camera, for head shots. Damn.

  • i'm another one of those people hoping to god they release something. I'd sort of given up hope really. But hearing that they have a studio in their home has cheered me up. Thanks. It's just a matter of time then, right? assuming they haven't moved...

  • Well, they have had that studio for a number of years now and nothing has emerged so far unfortunately. Or perhaps they have been doing stuff but it's not been released for one reason or another?

  • Can someone please fill me in on this awesome band? I just cannot believe that Harriet and David will never write music and perform live again. I know that Harriet wants to raise her children, but does that mean that they will NEVER return to writing music again? And God forbid that they get a divorce, because they would spell a certain doom for one of the best bands of all-time!!! Please, does anyone have any interview clips or information I can go on? I am a HUGE fan!

  • I cringe every time I watch this interview. I read that the MTV host was just a fill-in, so that may explain his awkwardness and odd comments and questions.

And yes, Harriet is quite lovely in this clip as she is always. :)

  • Wow, Harriett is just about the lovliest creature god ever put on the earth.

  • It damn well better be or else all hope is lost for a new SUNDAYS album. Although it would mean that Harriet might be, dare I say it, available. One can dream.

  • Thank you, absolutely priceless. Come on Sundays we need some new music from you.

  • Seeing Harriet munching on a carrot is priceless. :) Every host always asks them where have they been. I hope they don't think it's prying into their personal lives; it's just that they've been missed so much.

  • too bad they never came out with a follow up to static and silence. :(

  • Wonderful!
