Calling it microevolution instead of variation is misleading, because the word "evolve" means to gain in complexity.

If you have a variety of cars, and you SELECT the red ones, you have thereby eliminated the other colors.

Just use the correct words and it's simple.

Although Miller and Urey formed amino acids in their experiments in 1952 - all the amino acids that formed lacked Chirality.!!

It is a universally accepted fact of chemistry that chirality cannot be created in chemical molecules by a random process.or in a test tube

This assumption is based on the fact that RNA has the capability of acting as the catalyst of its replication,thus being able to replicate without the need of proteins.

On to the repair mechanisms and the molecular machines I would suggest you begin your search with the experiment of Spiegelman.I think a good summary of his experiment and conclusions can be found in wikipedia.

@Stevoukos LOL, The RNA world even more ridiculous nonsense! "This engineered RNA" would break down do to the unstable conditions of it..similar to rats leaving a sinking ship..This artificial RNA..has ZERO chance of further evolving into a living cell.

Activated subunits are used along with templates taken from living sources!!..its not a geochemical relevant reaction. It has nothing to do with origin of life! Borrowing and Rearranging pre existing INFORMATION is not creating anything!

Anyway I'll try to explain the basics of chirality because I think you have a misunderstanding of the subject.

Chiral are 2 molecules that are not imposed on their mirror image.This is because of the existance of an asymetric carbon atom (an atom of C which is "connected" with 4 different group).The 2 chiral molecules are often referred as optical isomers and they can be classified by using many ways(cont).

Now it's a fact that most amino acids are L (with the common translation of being left handed ) and most sugars are indeed D.There is no problem with that.

You might ask WHY did nature choose L amino acids?(cont)
