Kobe is out of jordan's shadow, kobe rains in mid range and 3s, jordan is the slasher and mid range,...both clutch performers, both legends, kobe is making his own now
Its a video bout jordan....imo kobe is better but i mean cmon this vid had nothin to do with kobe so why even bring him up. Say it was an amazing shot and call it a day.
@SuperArmyGrunt ....i never rooted for mike when he played.....let me tell you, kobe bryant isnt even close to mike....NOT EVEN CLOSE....trust me on that,im a bball genius..
I know right? Not only was he a God at basketball, but he was decent at baseball(may not have reached full potential since being away from it for so long destroying opponents on basketball court) and could throw a football 65 yards with ease. All around classical athlete.
candiasis, i believe the game your talking about was an easter sunday game in the garden...but he wasn't at halfcourt, he was fading on the baseline around where the bench was. It was ruled just after the clock expired. Amazing shot.
Oops i rememebered it wrong, it was closer to the baseline and it was thrown in nearer mid court, it's at the 8:34 mark in this video: watch?v=NTqDdZz2dHM
Basically shoots the fade away oob over the sideline, over the defender. But it was waved off lol.
In one of Hoops videos of early Jordan v Boston at the Boston home court he hits a fade away over the sideline almost near midcourt and nails it which would have tied the game or stopped overtime or something but something was wrong on the play so it didn't count )they had to run the oob pass again). If you know the shot i'm talking about should slice that and up it somewhere like this vid, it was an amazing shot.
I have this game on DVD. Sick shot. Look how they have 3 defenders on Jordan on the strong side there. Who is the big guy guarding? No one. He's just there to help on Jordan. lol
Unbelievable.. I never knew of this. You're right, Larry Bird has done it, so has Isiah Thomas but this is without a doubt the greatest behind the backboard shot i've ever seen, cause neither of those 2 guys were fading like MJ did here. Unreal.
I've seen billions of amazing shots by Jordan....HOW COME THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'M SEEING THIS ONE???

Not surprised because during his career, Jordan made the IMPOSSIBLE...seem ROUTINE.

God damn this was WAY behind the backboard! The shot Kobe hit is a bit easier since all you have to do is give the ball a high arch.
But with this shot, at the distance MJ shot it from, you'd think the ball wouldn't fall fast enough, but it did. Amazing.
