Basically the houseguests must choose:

ether they will play for the power of veto this week and ONE person (who is NOT nominated or HoH) will go into confinement until after the next HoH competition, OR the houseguests choose to NOT play for the veto and they loose all groceries next week, but no one will go into confinement.

so the nominees can get the other people mad by playing the veto which would make them more of a threat

i have a feeling that john and jessica really dont care if they upset them since no one likes them

so they are going to play for the pov- in my opinion

The houseguest simply goes into confinement they don't play competitions and there is not more than one of them at a time, so its not really solitary at all.
