why do you guys say it doesnt work as a duet? i think it works perfectly fine, everythings nicely synchronized, both have good voices, guy's hot, girl's cute, what else do you want? (well, except that Kathleens part at singing "..how about love.." sounds a bit weard..)

The poor girl was out of breath from just doing her last number, plus had to pair up last minute with a new partner and sing in a lower key for him. Kathleen, you are a trooper and I wish you all the best for the future!

The only reason they sounded bad on this song...well, there's 2 reasons...
1. This song SUCKS as far as trying to make it a duet. It is not made for that, Kathleen had to sing 1/3 lower than the normal key so Kevin would even have a remote chance at hitting it. Harmonies are not really able to be done on this song. It's just a song that bites to try to sing duet style.
2. Kevin and Kathleen were not supposed to pair up...their original partners were voted off earlier that night.

It's called harmonizing. The reason why he might have sounded flat to you was because he was singing it an octave lower so Kathleen's voice would be able to harmonize. Though, they should have sung a better song because both of whom are much MUCH better than this.
