All the more amazing is that Cuba has been under an economic embargo by the US for fifty years. Many of these cars keep going on the most rudimentary of parts, many of them jury rigged and cannibalized from other cars of their similar type.
I have read that this may be to fate of industrialized nations (using older cars beyond their intended life) after Peak Oil. Assuming there will be enough fuel to power them or assuming we don't go with electric cars. Peace out.
