@sirvashx2 I know you Christians love to take credit for things that are not Christian but now you lay claim to the word "hope"? While it may be the case that Christina faith is based on hope, the term "hope" can have many definitions and connotations. In it's most general sense, it simply means---a desire or wish to see a certain outcome.

The fact I hope for something (like world peace) in no way implies the credulity of god belief on my part.

@sweetsweatyfeet actually hope means to desire with expectation of obtainment. We Christians hope for something because we are confident that God will provide for us just the way He provides for you. So the "HOPE" you used is something that is sure. So basically, what you're hoping will not happen because no one can stop the kingdom of God from growing. Seasons may past, time may fly, years may come by but the Word of God will never fade.

But contrary to your opinion, Christianity IS in unprecedented decline especially among the young. Not as much in the US as elsewhere but still significant while atheism has more than doubled in two decades.

Believe what you wish - I have my own ideas. Its not that so much as the mumbo jumbo that surrounds any religious doctrine, the idea of 'the holy spirit', the exhortation to prayer, the ambiguity surrounding the prophet, the imagery, symbolism etc - its manufactured to yield a particular result which is to convince people to hop on the religious gravy train.
