The body keeps the pH in a very tight well controlled range. Nothing you eat has an appreciable effect on the blood's pH. The normal person can vigorously exercise producing literally thousands of times more acid than eating any foods. @AboutEnergy Absolutely I can prove otherwise! Type 1 diabetes is caused by an immune response by one's own body to it's cells(Islet cells in the pancreas). They are COMPLETELY destroyed. The type 1 diabetic makes NO insulin which you need to live. This is why they must inject insulin every single day to stay alive. Type 1 is completely different from type 2. A change in diet DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT ONE STILL NEEDS TO REPLACE THE INSULIN.

The body keeps the pH in a very tight well controlled range. Nothing you eat has an appreciable effect on the blood's pH. The normal person can vigorously exercise producing literally thousands of times more acid than eating any foods. How come it is easy to get rid of this, but acids from foods are supposed to cause such problems? Because it's all rubbish that's why.

@hattube Totally. Emotional stress produces hydrochloric acid - 3 x more damaging than any food/drink acids. But, a good diet will increase capacity to keep cool and deal with stress better. Stress causes acid, but acid (from food) causes stress. There are people on great diets, but their thinking stinks, and thats not going to work. Its also possible to transmute stuff so its best not to get scared or obsessed by food and acidity.

The best book I've read authored on the subject is by Dr. David R Hawkins who's one of the BEST mental health Doctors currently alive on the planet and of the 20th century. @hattube This is incorrect. The stomach secretes hydrochloric acid which begins the breakdown of food. As it moves into the small intestine it is acted on by pancreatic juices and other enzymes. Once it is broken down into amino acids it is then absorbed into the bloodstream. Any other corrections are made by the kidneys (assuming they are functioning) these slight changes keep the pH of the blood in a VERY TIGHT range 7.35-7.45 What you ingest does Not affect the blood pH.

@AboutEnergy Absolutely I can prove otherwise! Type 1 diabetes is caused by an immune response by one's own body to it's cells(Islet cells in the pancreas). They are COMPLETELY destroyed. The type 1 diabetic makes NO insulin which you need to live. This is why they must inject insulin every single day to stay alive. Type 1 is completely different from type 2. A change in diet DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT ONE STILL NEEDS TO REPLACE THE INSULIN.

In the type 2 diabetic they produce insulin; however, the insulin their pancreas secretes is either not enough or the body is unable to recognize the insulin and use it properly. This is called insulin-resistance. This type of diabetes is often caused by obesity and can be cured by a change in diet and loosing weight. But again with type 1 they make NO insulin because the cells have been forever DESTROYED.

There are very uniform steps that are taken when measuring parameters in the blood!
