  • Sorry I replied so late..... I want you to make my sketch from my photograph ...

plz don't reject this its a request.

  • @taaaraqqq ohh ic hmm actually ive been quite busy with school lately...i cant even find time to draw for myself i usually do accept requests but right now im going to have to put them last on my list....i cant say ill do it but if youll remind me again ill see wat i can do..

  • very very beautiful and smart.

the idea that u can use layers as a help and then delete them are very smart.

i ve learned alot, but without tablet its impossible hehe.

    keep the good job

  • Now I can draw like a pro!

  • Sooo nice dude

  • Is it possible to make flash movies with this?

Because I will have to choose between this and a flash animation program, but CS4 is mutch cheaper :P

  • @daBabyBig well if you want to make a flash animation using photoshop..you wouldnt technically called it flash...

if you just want to make animations...then i suggest you go with Flash...

photoshop has a little animation setup but those or more for editing videos..you can draw on them..it would be more limited..unlike Flash where everything is setup specifically for animation i used photoshop and windows movie maker to make this video...photoshop is more for digital drawing and painting

  • GO HOME CRY DA VINCHI. Here comes dahae :D

  • Hey Dahae can u make a sketch from a real snap.

  • @taaaraqqq sorry dude but i didnt really understood that

are you asking if i can make a sketch real fast?

    cuse if you are...i guess

i actually draw pretty fast..just coloring and lineart

takes a long time for me :]

  • @dahae1014 Maybe he meant a real photo

  • @42puppylove24 if he is then that would be a random question haha

  • @dahae1014 i think so too. btw, great job. I love the hair and the eyes.

  • did you use a mouse or tablet? it looks so nice

  • What brush did you use for the hair? Beautiful picture btw!

  • I installed psCS4 like, a year ago (OMG) and I've barely done anything on it (boo!) This has motivated me!

  • He kinda looks like Light Yagami from Death Note :3

  • hi as much as i love ur videos, i would just like to ask on how did you trace your drawings like that? it seems it was sketched right trough the monitor. heheh i tried using pen tool, brushes, pencils.. but it comes out bold, and kinda like the art u see wen u use paint! heheh hope you would respond. thank you :D

may i know wat kind of brush is it or wer i can use that tool and how much pixels? hehehe thank you. :D

  • @shivaefrit well for this drawing i used the regular brush size 1 for the lineart its the first brush type in the list yah i used a really small brush one tip that is useful is to get a nice small, smooth looking lineart set your canvas in a high pixel i usually use 1200x1400 once you have a big canvas to work in the 1 size brush will look different but it gets some use to to control it :]
  • @dahae1014 wow! THANKS pal! problem solved!! haha, i appreciate the response. thank you! keep em comin ok? ill be roorting for more of your videos :D

PS: someday ill be as good as you :D

  • @dahae1014 thanks! hehehe it helped a LOT! by the way, uhm this is my 1st PS i just installed it 3 days ago.. hehe anyway uhm, sorry for my ignorance, but wat do you mean by "canvas" by the way? hehe wer can i see this tool? heheeh thanks again :D

  • @shivaefrit actually a canvas here is the so called "digital paper"

its the image you draw on

so what i meant was when you start drawing you could set your "paper" to

    1200x1400 pixels

so you have a nice big space to work on :]

  • @dahae1014 oh. i see.. hehe yeah, i tried customizing the pixels in the file > "new" with a width of 1200 pixels, and height of 1400 pixels, i did what you said i used a number 1 brush "black" 1 pixel but stil it turns out bold, unlike yours, the effects looks like it was sketched by charcoal. pls help. :)

  • are you using a graphics tablet?

Also how do you keep such a steady hand all my lines turn out squiggly >.<, any tips?

  • @JanembaJanemba yes i did use a tablet

hmm i guess the best tip to keep straight lines is just to keep on practicing

ive been using a tablet for about 3 years now so im pretty use to it

also i learned to draw fast lines which works for me

    :] hope that helped

  • wth dude ? XD this drawning is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO awsome !!! ^^

  • I was wondering what program you used to screen capture this? Beautiful drawing by the way.

  • @NikkyRawrs i used hypercam 2

its free you can google it to download the program :]

  • @dahae1014 Thanks a bunch. >w<

  • woow....you are drawing this only with mouse....awesome!!!

  • did you use a tablet?

  • i was watching this and tried to change my color, but it wouldn't change. it stayed gray. any ideas on how to get it to change?

  • @xjoannax07x if it stayed gray then its most likely that your canvas is not in RGB mode

try going to images on the top

then check if grayscale is checked

    if so

    then click the RGB mode

    hope this helped :]

  • @xjoannax07x sorry i meant

    image> mode> RGB color

that should make much more sense :]

  • please help me, i have photoshop cs4 and when i try and draw smooth lines it doesnt work well at all, I have the Bamboo Fun drawing tablet, someone told me to use the freeform pen tool to make lines smooth, but the problem with that is you cant erase the lines with the rest of the other ones, please tell me what tools to use to make smooth lines for hair and such ^ ^; and how to use them, it would be very appreciated... :)

  • Cool Drawing BRo!!!

  • What is the model of your tablet?

  • i used the bamboo craft

  • are you using a tablet?

  • yup :]

  • Ehm... you forgot to paint the ears...

    xD

One observation: The light effect doesn't seem very reallistic on the left side of the hair, It doesn't follow hair's curvature. I mean, you drawn it a little too straight.

Well, in general, the drawing is very well, i can't draw as well as you... what means.... I need more training! >: )

  • lolol i never paint the ears xDD

yahh this is an oldd drawing i did

i dont color or draw like this at all now

its sorta embarrassing to watch this xDD

    but thxs for the feedback

    8D

  • ahahahh. Same as me!! When I draw something new and i think in the moment that it's very well drawn, but then i continue drawing, and, some months later, i see it again and it looks like shit to me!! I get embarassed too xDDDD.

  • that song sounds pretty good, only if i cant understand japanese.

  • how do you make the black lines so clear when you paint with colours, like the hair?

  • i guess its because ive been using a tablet for 3 years so i cant control it pretty well

i use pressure to make the lines thick

i remember when i first tried using a tablet and it would show up really light and thin cuse its a different feeling compare to when using a pencil so i put more pressure on the tablet pen and i use a size 1 brush to make the lines small so it doesnt look messy

  • *can control

    typo :P

  • okey tanks soo much i´v been using my tabel for 2 weeks now soo i´m not soo good at it....but i´ll try my best! :3

  • PS: i really like your style!

  • You put the lineart layer at the top of the colouring layers, or you set the colouring layer to multiply. ^-^

  • i put the lineart layer on top

  • i have a huge prblem in Adobe Photoshop CS4.

When i try to draw all it does is show the hand. I click on the brush tool and it still shows the hand and does not draw! Ive tried everything, and nothings working. Help me please!

  • the hand tool

well first i would restart my PS

and when you open a new canvas

click the "B" button on your keyboard

another guess is if you have a tablet and tried clicking or drawing things with a mouse nothing will show up

that happens to me so i just use everything wit a tablet

  • if you clicked the brush tool but only the hand tool is selected on the tool bar

then you might have a problem

to me this seems like a little mistake

and your ps most likely isnt broken

unless your photoshop is used with a serial key breaker than most of the time

there will be lil glithes in it

but if you have any more problems just ask me :]

  • good video and i LOVE rain : )

  • thank you~

    who doesnt love rain :D

  • no i used a bamboo tablet :]

  • Yeah bamboo is the best!

  • Mind if I ask what settings and tool did you use to do your lineart? :>

  • I used the regular brush size 1

its the first brush type where you select your brushes

    and i used a tablet

hmm yah thats pretty much it xD
