  • great video! thanks!

  • Man Walter Cronkite was one bitchin dude. R.I.P. America's Narrator.

  • If we would have fought Vietnam like Iraq we would have crushed 'em. Imagine if we had just bombed the crap out of Hanoi and then invaded an occupied; like we did in Bagdad, Iraq chasing down Ho Chi Minh and Nguyen Van Linh ( you lucked out NVA and VC).

  • @carsearch2001 no we would not. During the Vietnam War the amount of bombs we used on North Vietnam was more than the ones used in World War II. There was a bombing campaign in Vietnam in where we would bomb North Vietnam almost every day. We lose the war because they had amazing tactics.

  • @pyphms WHAT?!?!?! We never ONCE invaded full force Hanoi, taking the leader prisoner because we were too scared that China and Russia would intervene. Well now Russia has crushed itself and China is out of the picture. We would absolutely crush Vietnam, they had to hide behind civilians to just stay alive and unlike WWII most of the bombs we dropped did not go BEHIND enemy lines. Your "facts" and assumptions are WAY off.

  • @carsearch2001 ok well this sint true, Russia stopped paying attention during Detente, and the Chinese actually went to war with vietnam, America dropped hundreds of bombs, invested millions of dollars and sent thousands of men. But they couldnt have won, bombs were ineffective after the early war and North Vietnam could call on 10 million fighters without even talking to Laos or Cambodia. Vietnam was a Quagmire, and everyone realised this after the Tet offensive.

  • This is a fantastic documentary and a great series.

  • he will be missed

  • The suffered huge losses but i think the Vietcong won the psychological warfare during the Tet Offensive..

  • I am a Marine and this is one hell of a fight. The enemy is stubborn and dedicated, hell...helll...

  • Yeah but so were we bro

  • @thereddog223 Not disrespecting, just acknowledging it was one hell of a fight. I was in Fallujah in '04 so I can understand. Semper Fi.

  • Thank you sir

  • 8:28 the guard's head had been shattered

  • At the start of the guys report from "inside the embasy" wy does he fel the need to say that the place cost over $2 milion? is this an American thing?

  • frikin lucky guy... (5:44)

  • the vc operated openly in front of the south vietnamese population and the south vietnamese would stick there heads in the sand like an ostrich thinking nothing would happen to them , just the americans, that is why tet was so huge.
