This was excellent!

I was not 'reading' it as to future generations though. I was seeing it as what is found in a time capsule by people from other planets that arrive after we have made our world/environment too foul to sustain life.

We should probably bury the time capsule in an SUV. Hmmm, maye some Twinkies as well, so when the space travelers come to explore, they won't be hungry.

I really enjoyed this, although it sent my thoughts in a painful direction.

lol...I don't think the twinkies would last...maybe...we should leave a can of spam in the SUV...Or maybe, if we pull together and focus on the enviornment, we can prevent needing the time capsule...

I think the Twinkies will outlast the Spam, and the can itself. As to the environment... 'your lips to God's ears'.

The sad thing about all of this is that any attempt at more responsible living will adversely impact somebody else's income... damn it.

You have a point about the 'impact on somebody elses income' just like the fishermen in Newfoundland or the loggers in Brazil...and part of our solutions must include re-education and new opportunities for the people affected! We can help each other get through this!
