There was an amazing special on where I was able to upgrade the battery to a 9 cell for $50 dollars PLUS get a 6-cell battery for FREE. If the 9 cell becomes a pain to put on my lap I'll just switch it to the 6 cell. :)

@NewPSCity there wasnt any options for that. Tho there were two options of a dell xps 15 when you choose which pc you want. they costed around the same but the one i chose had a bigger price cut. So I have probably bought the less expensive one for a bigger price cut. Thing is, there wasn't any written differences between the two options of the two dell xps 15. But im okay with it. Im just experiencing a bit much heat when playing WoW.

Hey, screen resolution is REALLY important to me and i would like to know, if you have any clue what the 720p screen is like in comparison, i mean, can you see all the pixels? Please try and reply :P

@KraftOfficial I have never seen the 720p dell xps 15, but I would guess the resolution might good enough to showcase any games, but 1080p screen it great IMO. I would get the 1080p screen.

@KraftOfficial The 720p screen will make things huge and oversized. It's also received multiple complaints regarding image grain, lines showing through the screen, low contrast, etc. The 1080p screen on the XPS 15 is the most important upgrade and I would never advise buying an XPS 15 without upgrading that first thing.

If you're not going to get the 1080p screen upgrade, buy a different laptop. The XPS 15 is meant to have a 1080p screen.

It's got most of the same specs as the XPS 15, but the speakers aren't as good and the 1080p screen isn't the same (reglar 1080p upgrade from 900p is £35 and is still a good screen, but the 95% gamut matte screen (£125 upgrade) is the only one that can match the XPS 15's screen)

@KraftOfficial buy the dell in the states (get someone to order it for you) you can get one i7 full hd etc for $999 which is about £613- the one from dell uk would be well over 1000 for the same specs. Go to: logicbuy.com/deals/dell-xps-15­/26283.aspx and follow the guide for the discount tokens etc. Only an idea, I'm thinking about it as I have a friend coming over- but they look like such shit I just can't bring myself to do it. The 720p screen not only has less colors but it is much much lower quality overall. I have one with it, looks like crap, and replacing it with a 1080 I ordered.
