  • 1:06 awesome bored guy

  • @DIdaho9001 korn fan...

  • why are the 5 people who dis-liked this such fucking dickheads? Or maybey they just dont know good music.

  • @drleela7 Or maybe they just don't like it.

  • @pinedough how can people ldis-like bad religion?

  • @drleela7 I dunno, but some do.

  • Did Bad Religion make this song's intro sound like NOFX's "Stickin' In My Eye" on purpose since they're such good friends or am I just stupid? I'm still learning about both, so please let your responses be nice ones. Thanks.

  • i just love watching Greg Graffin live. He is absolutely the coolest nerd ever <3

  • caralho ke banda loca !!!!!!! som chapado

  • Fucking great live:)

  • all of this talk about image... this song has way more meaning than any anti-flag shit ever will.

  • @carsoncapps anti flag has songs about not conforming to the stereotype "punk" image. listen to them before you start talking about shit you don't know. if you're talking about bright lights or for blood and empire then i agree with you but anything before that you're totally wrong.

  • @carsoncapps I'm a huge Flag fan and I have to agree 100% with that. I LOVE Anti-Flag but Bad Religion shit all over them easilly

  • Comment removed

  • I do view some 'punk' ideals as de-evolved, almost backward in terms of returning to an era of rule on a more local level. I ve listened to Bad religion for over 13 years because they sing intelligent lyrics and great songs, but I challenge anyone to prove that anarchy in its raw form would work as well as democracy. This however is a brilliant song and makes me think of the great works of Dawkins and Darwin who I believe were partially responsible for 'a new age of reason'

  • @jamesdm1000 Read Greg's book: 'Anarchy Evolution', he takes a completely different stance/outlook and attitude towards dealing with religion than Richard Dawkins - a much more mature and sensible one in my opinion.

  • @BringBRToTheUK It's not THAT different of an approach. I've read that book (it was awesome!). The impression I get from Greg in that book and in interviews is that he doesn't want to be in the spotlight and known as someone who just rails against religion like Dawkins, Hitchens, etc... Though, that's what he does in several songs in Bad Religion.. I read that he's probably going to do one more album and focus on his professor-ship so I can see why he doesn't want to be in "that boat" with them

  • @DerPoltergeist13 Yes, it seems curious that he would say 'I don't want to talk about religion, because I believe we can have a much more rewarding conversation about natural sciences' and then write songs like 'Come Join Us' and 'God Song', though to be fair they were before he authored that book.

  • @BringBRToTheUK Dawkins & Friends have made a career out of the God-debate, got caught up in it so to speak.... Greg is getting older, and I doubt he wants to be Dawkins's age and be mostly known for bashing theism. I'm only 21 and being non religious myself, I can see why... It's easy to get sucked into the religion debate when there's so much more to life

  • @jamesdm1000 how did humans live before the agriculture revolution? and that style of living existed for hundreds of thousands of years, whereas democracy is used to accommodate large amounts of people in concentrated area's (villages/cties). the tendency for people to group together is inherent in our survival nature. as for democracy we have only 1 country in the world that practices direct democracy. we have representative democracy which is basically a dictator with rules for a few years.

  • well when they were kids they sounded like garage punk. once graffin went to college their sound cleaned up a lot. im glad it did. they sounded like all the other punk bands when they were teenagers. im glad they really came into their own later in life than peaking in their late teens. and the fact that they still make new music is awesome. Dont stop till you die Dr Graffin for music's sake

  • I love how we're still fighting over what's "punk" and what's not after 30+ years. Whatever the hell it is, thank god it spawned bands like Bad Religion.

  • bass intro really sounds like stickin in my eye

  • itts a band get over it

  • epiphany

  • To correct Wildrogue, a lot of punk bands actually are pro-socialist, but they often support what's called "Libertarian Socialism" or "Democratic Socialism" rather than the image of a state-controlled society that Americans have had drilled in to their heads. These political systems are considered "anarchist" because there is no state, not complete lack of order. People and their communities decide what best fits the situation. Then there's the few Nazi punk bands... They generally suck.

  • they must be very religious people? jesus, epiphany american jesus

  • @TzzX78 I can only assume this is goading to get a rise, i'll bite a little say if its not, try actually listening to the songs, their not exectly complimentary about religion.

  • Another legendary song from Dr Greg and the band =D

  • Watch this 1:03 Hammer Group Hammer Song i LOVE BAD RELIGION.

  • quit talking shit and be the change you wish to see in the world

  • The audio quality on this is really good, especially for being at the WT.

  • If they don't play "Tiny Voices" when I see them next month, I'm done with them forever!!!!

  • @MONOLITH13 so im not the only one who thinks the bass intro is Stickin in my eye then? right on

  • @zankxcheech: am I the only one who thinks the bass intro of stickin in my eye is Epiphany? ;)

i hate it when people talk about religion on bad religions videos

about whos wrong and write and whos more believable

i think the cross CROSSED out should say something to you

  • there isnt one real sentence in there :)

  • Maybe, because your IQ isnt sufficient enough to understand the sentences.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't care.

  • 1) There's no evidence such a thing happened

    2) Atheists wouldn't care if people that claim to represent your religion didn't have an affect on the rights of others

    3) Your personal experience suddenly is evidence for your god and other people's claims of visions of other gods suddenly aren't valid?

    4) You must believe many absurdities to even accept the Jesus story as valid it's laughable.

  • it's a damn shame.

    --what is?

    that you failed.

  • @djvalis what are you doing on a bad religion video. gtfo

  • Hey help me to bring Bad Religion to the UK all you punk fans out there!

  • What are you talking about? You're English is astoundingly poor. Please don't reply untill you have revised the language... it'd be a good way to avoid further confusion.

  • pink floyd are trash ? well i have heard enough lol , even if u dont like them u should appreciate what they are. but then again u sound like one of those americans who will never leave ur shores so i am wasting my breath. to be harsh but indeed fair , u are the kind of guy who gives america a bad name, and what are u doing watching a bad religion video , u obviously dont relate to their messages

  • @memento12777

I've heard of no Bad Religion message where they say it's not good to like some bands and disliking others.

  • There's a big difference between a patriot and an arrogant asshole. The USA has potential greatness but right now.... well there's not alot to be proud of to be quite honest.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh it doesn't have any relevance, only I said Bad Religion should come to the UK, and some guy said 'fuck England, they're American and foreign scum bags like you don't deserve to see them.'

  • Well that's rather unfortunate, I'm sorry to hear that someone said that, but really? This IS the internet, after all, and youtube no less. Not exactly a community known for it's... might we say.... maturity?

  • Thank You! At least someone understands, I'm getting sick of people saying Bad Religion is anti-America, they're just against the choices

  • haha you such a failure at life! Barack Obama isnt even muslim and what have the British done lately? We've become less ignorant than you. And not you as in American you as in chaspack.

You cock juggling racist thunder cunt.

    Go get a life

  • You cock juggling racist thunder cunt

Im gonna start using that from now on LOL

  • @badreligion1231

    aw man pure genius

  • Jeffhasnolife, i Think that this song was after that song had been recorded, but if I'm wrong, and epiphany is before stickin' in my eye, it may be that Fat Mike ( A HUGE Bad Religion fan) took the bass beat and used it in one of NOFX's Songs.

  • Kamen0 is right

  • i just learned this bass line its amazing

  • The bass sounds so much like Stickin' In My Eye by NOFX it's not even funny. Actually it's kinda funny.

  • haha i know its insane!

  • holy shit your right

  • jaja si son muy parecidos

  • i was thinking the same thing then i read comment

  • i was just going to say that. haha

  • whew this song is sped up from the album version

  • Best singer and best band ever

  • correct me if im wrong i havent read into it too much maybe it wont get answered but greg or whoever writes the bulk of the bad religion lyrics seems like they were tortured if thats the word with religion when they were younger but now kinda refutes religion with philosophy and deep dark lyrics. correct me if im wrong.. or elaborate if im onto someting

  • totally, there lyrics are so meaningful and searching for the truth that we wont find in this lifetime!!! Great band!

  • i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the bass line

    so sexy hahahha

    BAD RELIGION=true PUNK

  • Greg Graffin is awesome. He looks like he could be my uncle, but he still rocks. That's something.

    Long live Greg Graffin!

  • Well, I suppose he's entitled to his own opinion. Still, I love this song.

Maybe he's just not a religious guy?

Or maybe ust a douchebag. Don't care.

    Point being, awesome song.

  • all philosophers are inmortal

  • \m/ Hell yeah!

  • Yeah, you're right. Both great songs too.

  • this is one of my most favorite songs by BR.

    and they are insane live.

  • Graffin for president!

  • As letras mais inteligentes do rock mundial!!!!

  • Bad Religion has the most intelligent lyrics, that's what I like about them. They're not making dumb songs about break-ups and shit.

  • All promises become a lie

all thats benign corrupts in time !!!!

  • Beautiful Bass line, but I prefer the studio version.

  • Love this song

  • my religion BAD RELIGION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL @ the guy at 1:28

  • your mom looks like bruce willis

  • graffin for president!

(he's like a mixture between nicholas cage and bruce willis lol)

  • Graffin reminds me of actor Will Arnett

  • OH COME ON!

  • Hahaha... now, that's more accurate. I don't understand you got like 6 thumbs down for saying that. It's a fun, harmless comment for god's sake! (The other day i got like 10 of those for pointing out the fact funeral for a friend's juneau's intro sounded like deftones' knife party... basically a fact rather than an opinion)

  • WOOOOOAAAA!!!!!

  • I think Greg Graffin should run for president. he's fuckin brilliant

  • id vote for him, but im part of the minority

  • Gref Graffin will be president when people's mind change. I thing that it's very dificult but the utopia is possible!!

    BUSH FUCK YOU!!!

  • Eeeee... Why play it so fast now? What's the rush? I like the old style better...

  • Yeah me too :( But you gotta remember that they ARE on a schedule.

The Process of Belief was a great album.

  • Great song, great show. Bad Religion is the best punk rock band ever!

  • hes greg graffin lol he can do wat he wants hes a god

  • He's not a "god," fanboy.

  • take a fuckin lude man

  • lavallsa, and that's the best example that it fucking doesn't matter how you look to do what you want to. bad religions are great musicians, greg graffin is one of the best songwriters ever existed, and they are awesome. and valdirsobral, I'd not say he's a got, well, that's kinda paradoxical... :>

  • I agree that it doesn't matter what you look like,...not that I care, I was just surprised when I saw him...relax..

  • yeah I was too, well sorry when I sounded angry, I didn't want to^^ I was only thinking about these guys who think somethin was only true punx ololol and so on if the people look like one

  • hehe! I'm a girl, I don't look punk, but I can enjoy good music when I hear it! :) No harm done!

  • Well, they have been playing for over 25 years now, they're not exactly teenagers these days.

And it would look a little ridiculous for a college professor in his mid-late 40s to be sporting a blue mohawk and combat boots!

  • whats it matter.. theyre legends that have rocked generations.. and still bringing it to a younger crowd!

  • What the fuck is a punk band supposed to look like? A bunch of dumbass kids with tattoos and mohawks? No, sorry. A real punk band is simply one that sings punk rock and generally has an intelligent message advocating anti-socialism or nonconformity. Image has absolutely nothing to do with it. In fact, that act of even trying to conform to the stereotypical "punk" image is anti-punk poser bullshit.

(It's not that Graffin can't conform to all your social standards, it's just that he's above them)

  • your wrong about the look of punk because being punk is doing what you want and getting your message out there no matter what the message and usually there is a point behind it

  • Toskabov, the question is whether those who walk around in leatherjackets with spikes and shit and a mohawk wants to dress like that or only dress like that because they want to fit into the "old-school" punk-group? I mean, if punk is about being yourself and being free, I would'nt dress like that. I'd dress in clothes I feel comfortable, and I doubt walking around in a leatherjacket and spending all that time on making a mohawk is comfortable. Know what i'm saying?

  • Toskabov:

Doing what you want means you don't have to conform its not to do with image specifically. Its to do with how you live your like as a whole and the message you send out to people. You don't have to have a mohawk and tattoos to be punk.

  • @Wildrogue Most punk bands preach anti-socialism? Alright then mate...don't know who you've been listening to.

  • @Wildrogue here here

  • @Wildrogue DAMN Right

  • @Wildrogue It's not that he's above them, it's that he's a grown ass man who doesn't delve in the trivial shit from the mind of children.

  • @Wildrogue They convey their message while creating beautiful with actual harmony. Punk isn't idiot teenagers screaming about what they hate, is it? That would suck.

  • @feejis8

thats exactly what Wildrogue said ......

But bad religion is a legendary band and their song are still pretty actuall

And yes I hate ppl who thinks punk is a "ant socialism" kind of music

yes it does criticize the socity but with a melodic side

  • @Wildrogue They convey their message while creating beautiful music with actual harmony. Punk isn't idiot teenagers screaming about what they hate, is it? That would suck.

  • @feejis8

To be fair, punk is a lot of things. Sometimes it's angry kids, sometimes it's "Epiphany" sometimes it's both at the same time or Somewhere in the Between or something else altogether. Truly punk is a thing Stranger Than Fiction. Punk is a rather useless term outside of classifying music, by it's nature it cannot be defined. Seriously, How Much Is Enough for this argument to Cease? We're flogging a dead horse, we need to just Watch It Die. Quit the bitching, DO WHAT YOU WANT!

  • @TheSidewalkCipher

To be fair this band is one of the subgenres of punk, melodic hardcore/skate punk where as the the common punk such as sum 41 and blink 182 which are the more popular genres are pop punk so even though the term punk itself is a broad genre there are defining subgenres.

  • gurewitz is in this video though,....

  • yeah, if you pay close attention to the stage at the beggining you will see that the banner says "WARPED TOUR '04" which is AFTER gurewitz came back to the band

  • I think he meant to reply to sublime29.

Also, Rilenator, Mr. Brett doesn't play many shows out of California since he runs Epitaph.

  • Pretty cool ^^

  • This is a bit slower then how my band plays it :D

  • That's probably because your band sucks and can't play this very simple song.

  • u honestly have nothing better to do than bitch about soemthing like that?

  • ah ffs, this is too fast

  • i love that drummer!

  • awesome song! Makes me wanna break something.

  • best song ever

  • an amazing song

  • wheres brett?

  • He often doesn't tour with them
