Kids and people in their teens/early twenties tend to require more stimulation and therefore lean toward pop/dance/rock music before they come to appreciate other genres, and they seem to make up the majority of Youtube viewers. And because the music industry is aware of this, they put a great deal of effort into marketing Bieber to mainstream media outlets.

It's all right though - Nick Drake is like one of those undiscovered exotic beaches you only see on imagined wallpapers. It won't be on any map or in any tourist guide; in fact there won't be any tourists at all, but when you get there, it's so immensly beautiful that you can't but fall silent, and - not without a little snobbish satisfaction - realize that the fact it's not widely known makes it that much better...
