Well I don't mind him being a man (it could work if it was a prequel or sequel) due to the ending of the original. I just hate how dark and angsty he looks in them as well as the Conan look. The picture I used in the video is probably the better of some of the concept pieces. Probably the only one where he wasn't frowning.
