  • it is a fantastic gun. I know a few guys that shoot them in .45acp for IDPA. They use moon clips, you have to. Such a nice revolver. I have the 686 on my list as the next revolver to buy, of course in .357.

  • Nice Smithy....ive got the 4 in. 686 but it looks great as a powerful snubby...great aquisition...

  • Nice gun I love the wheel guns in stainless steal. Good review and very nice buy.

  • That is exactly what I have been thinking about getting! Love it man.

  • Sweet Gun! I shot a S&W .357 at the range a couple month ago with a 6" barrel. It was really fun to shoot. I hope you enjoy shooting yours at the range.

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!

  • very nice wheel gun, always a great choice....

  • I see that .38 spl carbon ridge in the cylinder. I like to shoot .38 +P in my Sp101 with the 3 in bbl. it'll stop you from loading .357's if you let that ridge get too bad.

I used a bronze brush with some hoppes 9. still black, but the bump is gone.

  • Nice revolver Gary!! That will be a great companion when you're in the woods. Thanks for sharing

  • Love that gun!

I really wish I still had my 686 combat! getting rid of it was a big mistake!

  • Great start to a New Year! J R

  • Very nice looking revolver, love the stainless steal! :)

  • I picked up the same gun in a 4" this past october. it shoots .38 like a knife cuts through butter.

  • Awesome...You said it was the year of the revolver. I don't think there will be too much kick out of that beast.

I think its the year of the 1911 for me, already eye balling the new Super Carry Ultra+. Have you heard anything about it? I

  • @OilTheGun Yes my gun shop has had some for a few weeks they are nice it keeps talking to me everytime I walk in the door they are sweet thats a great choice.
