I worked on telemetry and as a CNA and I usually had 12 pt's but I didn't have all that entails of a RN but it was still pretty hard! Especially when there was only 2 CNA's to the floor and 30 pt's :.(. !!!
WHAT?!?!?!?!?! 6 patients? SEVEN PATIENTS?!?!?! I can NOT even imagine having 6-7. I have a hard time with 5 when we have those days. I'm going to have to say I must be stupid because I totally did NOT know what hyperalimentation was, I asked that question too (recently). :o(
I am a former nurse aide and we had like 15 patients on the tele floor. I would have loved 5 or 6 patients. I am now a pre nursing student. Great video heather. :)
I dont remember all of my medical terms either I'm only human

@yamaguchiyo That sounds very challenging and impossible. I don't know how you do it, but I give you a lot of credit for that.

@Puddinpop1987 12 patients is a lot for a CNA. The CNAs on my old Tele floor had 6-8 patients. I don't know how they got away with that.

In Ireland its way more than 6 patients per nurse in a ward

heather, as a nurse isn't it better to ask stupid questions (if there are any) than to act like you know everything?
