Judging by Shan-Yu's eyes and muscles I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a Mongolian relative of Darth Maul. There's a good idea for a sequel. Darth Maul coming to China to wreak havoc in revenge for his relative.
Did you ever see Star Wars: The Phantom Menace? It's a fantastic movie. Also Darth Maul is the guy who wields a dual-bladed lightsaber at the film's climax.

Great movie. I recommend renting it some time. Of course if you dislike Sci-Fi than that might be a bit of a problem but who cares.

Actually you might as well watch the whole series. They're classics. The Phantom Menace is the first one and then several others come afterwards.
