I loved the anime but it always reminds me of those stupid dutch translations. They didn't translate the pokemon names like in the german version (thank god for that) but the moves always sounded awful. Like razor leaf is called messcherpblad. o _ 0

@royalblackdragon I would get some PKMN to cover squirtle's weaknesses offensively and defensively so maybe a Pikachu or Ponyta. I would also get a psychic or dark type PKMN just to cover other dark, ghost, psychic, and fighting. And also remember that Blastoise can learn a couple ice moves so if you're not good with fire or no fire types suit you that could be a 2nd option.

Meowth would seriously make an awsome character for Smash Bros. Think about the different moves it could use: Shadow Ball, Fury Swipes, Thunder, Iron Tail and for it's Final Smash; Pay Day! The chances aren't totally blind either cause they have considered Meowth before

@TacosIncorperated That's my idea for Meowth, making it a combination of different characters: Fury Swipes is Meta Knight's Sword slash attack. Iron Tail would be Link & Toon Link's down A/2 attack. Shadow Ball would be Mewtwo's Shadow Ball or Lucario's Aura Sphere, Thunder would be Pikachu's Down B attack and the Final Smash Pay Day would be the Pokeball Meowth animation thing but you can move it around like R.O.B's Final Smash lazer thingy.

I didn't think meowth made a good team member to be honest, tried him out and I can honestly say I love him now :P he's found me 4 rare candies 2 nuggets a dozen berries since I caught him walking to celadon to finishing pokemon tower.

Just take a look everytime you switch pokemon or use an item to see if he's picked anything up :P

dig on a pokemon that can learn it and now it knows dig, but you can only use them once except in generation 5 games.

@ultimateespada64 Once you get Cut and Fly, you can go back to the Pewter Museum and head through the back entrance, using Cut to access it, and then take it to the Pokemon Lab on Cinnabar Island. It will be at level 5.
