@gamutman Interesting, can you show me a link that shows how the Red Cross is faith-based? I've been supporting them with blood donations and I really woudn't like them to depend on religious views in their decisions! Thank you!
@vollmuell Actually, the Red Cross is an excellent organization. They're strictly non-denominational in every sense other than using the word cross in their title in Christian nations & the word crescent in Islamic ones. The United Way is really the faith based 1 of the 2. My remark was intended mostly for them but when coupled with an organization with cross in the title I feel it undercut the point D5 was trying to make. Excuse my brash comment. Continue to support the RC.
@Doubter5 The Red Cross is an excellent organization to donate to. They are NOT religiously affiliated. They are a neutral, non discriminitive, nonracial, nonpolitical and definitely nonreligious organization. Another excellent organization is Doctors Without Borders.
@gamutman The Red Cross is absolutely no faith-based. There main criteria is neutrality. If you go to the Red Cross website you will find a section on impartiality where it tells you the make no discrimination between nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. The Red Cross is a worthy cause to donate your money.
@sambricky Actually I donate money to the Red Cross every time there's a disaster, and I donate blood to them. It's true that they are secular, but they use the cross in Christian countries and the crescent in Muslim ones. My point was that for the purposes of this video, mentioning the red cross (particularly along side the decidedly Catholic United Way) as examples of "other than religious" would not make the message as clearly as using perhaps Greenpeace and the Peace Corps.

@gamutman Despite its name, the Red Cross is NOT a religious or faith-based organization. The Salvation Army is, but the Red Cross is not.

@gamutman True, the United Way can be counted as religious affiliated. I just didn't want people to the the Red Cross was.

@daisy245 Yeah, you're right. Considering all the other vids on YouTube, my warning was superfluous! :)
Txs!

Don't forget the parents who kill their children cause Jesus told them it's a good idea.

@TheHigherVoltage Right, but that would be another whole video. :) (and I was really talking about religioius leaders here.)

@Doubter5 I put equal blame on the leaders.
