WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS VIDEO!? I happened upon this performance on cd in a small Indian store about 4 or 5 years ago.. I haven't been able to find a copy since. This is my favorite of his performances. I've listended to it so many times that i've memorized close to the entire 10 minute melody and often sing along with it. Thank you so much for posting this. Please let me know if you know where I can buy another copy of the audio cd.
LOVED IT!! So beautiful. A wonderful musician. I especially love the sound of the sarod. Such a sweet sound and in Ustadji's hands sounds ever so sweet.

Ascent:
Ni Sa Ma Re Pa - Ga Ma Da Pa - #Ma Pa Da Pa Sa
Descent
Sa Ni Sa Da Pa #MaPa Da Pa - Ga Ma Pa Ga Ma Re Sa
Avoid emphasis on Ni and sharp Ma.
Re and Pa are important, in ascend re is approached from Ma. Sharp Ma is only used in ass. with Pa and Dha. High Sa is always appr. from Pa.
Time: Early Night 9-12 p.m.
