Hi Eric. As I promised I’ll give you a serious comment on your video, although I know that thorough feedback is not always easy to swallow. What I appreciate a lot is the love for life and people that shines from both the video and the song and your intention to send out loving energy around YT. But at the same time that gives me some second thoughts too.

The song by itself has a very intimate intention, as a love song to one’s most dear person. But your video is not a tribute to your wife, but a tribute to the community in general, it could also be for an internet lover. That does change the total meaning. When I hear the line ‘you are my peace of mind in this crazy world’ it gives me the impression now that you show your gratitude for the lovely ladies around YT.

Therefore it feels like a justification for the love for more than one woman, you sort of affirm that impression by the bathtub in the end. That could almost be an advert for a brothel or playboy mansion. I’m not sure what your intention is, I just give you my impression as I’m watching it. The last picture also seems to encourage romance as ‘picking ripe fruit’. So I wonder what you are trying to achieve with this.

I appreciate that you added pictures of family life, children and old age too, but they are not the majority. Most of the images are just many lovely ladies, not even with much variation in type, age and culture. I can understand that you love them, but don’t see what this adds to your strive for peace. It’s the kind of love that usually creates a lot of problems, if you understand what I mean.

You obviously have a talent for raising impact in the combination of music and image. I also like the compositions and the use of the photo album. The use of free available pictures has its limits in my opinion, and always creates a bit of a ‘smooth’ and commercial effect. While the real beauty of life is found in the softness and imperfection of reality in my opinion.

I fully understand that creating your own images is something entirely different, and when it comes to the use of images of people it gives other problems too, but maybe you do understand what I mean.
