J'ai adoré par moments mais dans l'ensemble je trouve sa manière de jouer beaucoup trop sèche, trop piquée à mon goût. Ça reste une bonne prestation. Merci
When playing the Piano therer is no Right Way to play a pice but therer is a wrong way to play. It all comes down to personal style and how you were taught ect. the only thing that is mentioned on how to play the intro is Moderato
this is the only version i've heard so far where the opening chords are so staccato, I'm not saying that's right or wrong cause I'm not sure how short they should be, but I do like it
Hmm, that's interesting I didn't know that. and thank you for not doing what half of youtube does and flame me for not knowing something. haha but it does explain it
@pnkorg way too harsh! Contrast the stacaccatos with Haskill and better yet, Diane Walsh. If you notice Richter "pick and chooses" very carefully in what sonatas will exaggerate the staccatos and stays clear out of what is definitely a bread and butter Schubert musicality
brilliant young man, similar to those killed in WWI, rose of youth

Hi, this is a terrific recording. I just uploaded the Pollini rendition from 1974, if you are interested:

extraordinary! I loved it even though he raised tempo too much (imo) in the end
