I appreciate your take on this. There is a great book every hip hop lover should read called "How to Rap" where the author interviews over forty artists on a range of different topics such as Delievery, Flow, Content, Performance, Vocals, Rymes, Rhyme Scemes. Its definately worth looking into. IF you care at all about the artistry of rap.

I appreciate your take on this. There is a great book every hip hop lover should read called "How to Rap" where the author interviews over forty artists on a range of different topics such as Delievery, Flow, Content, Performance, Vocals, Rymes, Rhyme Scemes. Its definately worth looking into. IF you care at all about the artistry of rap.

But there's loads of undergrounds rappers doing their thing as well as the big names in my opinion. Guys like Vinnie Paz, Virtuoso, Immortal Technique and Chester P deserve mention, along with countless others. There's a lot of skiiled rappers so beyond flow, lyrics etc it all comes down to personal preference really.

Because whites listen to hip hop/rap more than any other group, and because whites think similar (homogeneous), most think Em is the best rapper ever! It's that simple. So if you ever see a list where Em isn't #1, it's a bogus list. The avg hip hop fan isn't a black guy or hispanic guy in the hood, it's a white kid in the suburbs!
