  • Leftwing jerks can't tolerate their views being challenged.Double standards all the way That's why obama and his supporters, make direct challenge to freedom of speech"close em down" ban em", but they can't control them.as they would in an undemocratic socialist state. Not yet.

Threaten teenage boys for dissing obama what a joke1

  • "scientifically provable"??? wow!!!!!

  • Conservative talk radio is successful because conservatives love lies and stupidity so much that instead of being ashamed when their ideas are proven wrong, they enjoy seeing and hearing them repeated and reinforced byt their liars in chief.

  • Seems to me that he basically admitted that there is a "right wing media" which somewhat flies in the face of his critique of a "left wing media". I would think he should be calling for a truly impartial media but at this stage, people seem far too invested in the concept of a general media bias, no matter which direction they see it being slanted in.

  • The left blogosphere became active because it was a CRITIQUE of the media, not protecting it! It's precisely because almost no one in the mainstream news was seriously questioning the legitimacy of Bush v. Gore, the patently nonsensical justifications for the Iraq war, etc. etc etc., that the left blogosphere started examining these things itself. Realizing, in the process, that the only way anything besides right-wing frames could be heard was if it forced them into the light.

  • "My blog is scientifically provable as being better than yours." How stupid. I can see conservatives saying shit like that. I'll Bet Bill O' has said it about his show.

  • The question of why talk radio is dominated by conservatives and the internet is dominated by the liberals I'd guess it's because reading makes the average conservative's head hurt.

  • What's "scientifically provable"? Absolute nonsense.

  • The whole notion of a "left wing media bias" is baseless and typically republican.

I often visit websites on the right just to see, and I think the reason they founder is because they are intellectually dishonest and badly written.

The strident right wing diatribe falls flat when it is exposed to the light of day.

    They refuse to evolve.

    I find that very troubling.

  • Dumb Americans still can't tell the difference between liberalism and genuine leftism. There has never been a left-wing president in American history, only liberal presidents who protect the capitalist status quo.

  • I agree the swiftboat thing WAS bullshit. He talks like it was some fact that made it through the liberal net. Man, this guy is pretty wacky, I mean, he goes as far as saying that his personal opinion about who has better writing is scientifically provable. That's enough or me to never trust anything he says with regards to science ever again.

TempestWriter: I agree that there are liberal biases but the criticisms of Obama coming from the left is somthing Bush never experienced from the right.

  • Wasn't the swift boat thing bullshit?

I think that liberals listen to music and news on the radio, but we get online so we can share what we think as well as receive information. Then the natural left leaning nature of this country is expressed as the internet rose.

Either way, media bias: lol. The media bends over backwards to hear "both sides," and reality has a well known liberal bias. What kind of left-bias was there during the lead up to the Iraq war? Fuck the GOP.

  • it's illusions to divide, left and right wouldn't survive without each other, they would have nothing to talk about if they didn't have stupid wedge issues and party lines. and then people would notice that 90+% of their "representatives" don't represent them enough.

    two wings-one vulture.

  • Fora, please!

  • This guy is wrong on so many levels. Limbaugh and Co exist because they "analyze" the bias of the mainstream media? Nuts. They exist because the people who voted Palin exist. Its that simple.

  • "the left is ahead because what all those sites do, is protect the mainstream media..."

Hilarious on so many levels. What a manipulative retard. FORA, I thought you guys dabbled in interviews with intelligent people?

  • Fora does, they have a lot of videos. These ones are just filed in the comedy section. :-)

Seriously, this particular interviewer shows up in all the right wing puff pieces. He asks very leading questions of people that would go where he wants to lead anyway. The GOP played this game well with the left wing bias lie, and they reap their profits when CNN gives two sides to an issue where Republicans are dead wrong.

Don't take it out on Fora, they do good work.

  • I absolutely agree. It was not my intention to take it out on FORA. I enjoy most of their interviews and think they do a good job exposing a lot of interesting peoples views and ideas. This particular "interview" just seem to stand out in a negative way.

  • I think the pro liberty Ron Paul supporters certainly have the most viable ,honest dialogue on the net, this cleverly was not mentioned in this dishonest exchange , the left right paradigm is dying.

  • its interesting watching how liberals react to being told that their mediums of information are horribly biased.

  • It's interesting seeing how the right talks about liberal bias in the media.

How many senators do you think you'll have in 2011? America is liberal, a reality based community of freedom. The GOP doesn't belong here.

  • I can see you're eagerly looking forward to a wonderful one party system.

If the GOP did disapear they would soon be replaced by a new conservative party which would probubly be a bigger threat to the democrats than the GOP.

  • If they become more sensible, they lose the fundamentalist base; if they stay the same, they lose the moderate base. Either way it's not going to be a bigger threat.

  • lol, actually I think the fundamentalists will become negilble soon. As we continue to advance technologically, religion will continue to fall by the wayside. I think that a new party would be Socially 'liberal' and economically 'conservative'. As religion fades away, this new party (again postulation) would fracture the democrat voter base in two. Besides, democrats are simply too incompatent to do anything politcially.

  • What he does not want to say is that the core support of the right is a little too dim or technophobic to deal with going online. They also make up a much older demographic and so are less likely to be web users.

  • arggg the left right paradigm, their is no left and right. Wake up

  • But you're all saying the left owns the blogosphere because it's an open dialogue...how open can it be if one side owns it?

  • What they mean is "the left wins arguments in an open dialogue", but they have to phrase it in a way that protects conservatives from their crocodile tears.

  • The difference between talk radio and blogs: one requires literacy. On the internet, you can check sources. You can do a search for further material. To me, the reason why each is popular is obvious...Older white people (right) prefer the medium they are used to, younger people (left) prefer the medium they are used to.

  • I put my faith in none of the above.

  • Some people like to listen to the same one-sided rants all day long... having their opinions pre-made for them to save on valuable brain power.

Others prefer a venue which allows a dialogue, a conversation of varying ideas and counter-pointing, preferring to digest information more transparently.

Some people like loud talking, strong opinions with absolutist thinking and dramatic fist pounding...

Others find all that concerning, intellectually insulting and cause for a restless mind.

  • De left OWNS the internet because, and get this, its one big dialogue with easy access to sources and or quotes. Its that simple. Try to tell me abstinence only is the only way? Trying to quote mine a respected democrat to represent your views? Its easy to put out a quasi plausible argument with shady sources in your regular media, your public will eat it up as usual. But on the internet the responses, counter arguments and correct sources will pile up until the truth comes out.

  • Utter hogwash.

Right wing opinion media? Sums up in a single word: McCarthyism.

Hooverism would be a better term (and of course redbaiting goes back further than Hoover), but "McCarthyism" is a commonly-understood term, and is the paranoic, illiberal vein these smear merchants and propagandists seek to mine & modernize.

The 'liberal mainstream media' meme is tired and flimsy horseshit, a way for AB to dodge the contradictions of this 'authoritarian populism' w/ democratic affectations.

  • The Internet blogs vs. Talk Radio?

That's like comparing College to NASCAR.

The most obvious reason is that one has to read a blog ,instead of just listening to an entertainer. Reading takes effort and ability.

Any moron can watch TV or listen to the radio. Illiterate people can't and don't read.

  • Oh so true and so well put.
