Hi i want to fly accross the pacific and I can't find and my I found a route on Flight Aware with coordinates as a waypoint but I don't know how to enter them in my FMC. Can you show me please?
Ricardo, quitale la musica. Es un video excellente, pero hermano es imposible de concentrarse y aprender algo con esta musica. Estoy segur que nadie que visita esta pagina viene por la musica. Venimos para aprender.
2nd. DIRECT to Airport? You didn't show how to programme Departure and Arrival Procedures. You should select this airports to tutorial, which has it published.
3rd. You turned on AutoTrottle. NEVER do it! Only when in holding point of runway.
4th. It's FMC tutorial, and you show how to land? ... Something wrong.
Ello, RiccoardoP1983! Quick question! The aircraft you are using! is it a PMDG model or a Arian model! i need to know because i downloaded Arian model and I am having one hell of a f***ing time trying to figure out how to use the bloody thing! let me know when to can!
very nice thanks. 2 questions though. Whats the shorcut to make fmc to appear . And i dont hear the guy saying "1 hundred, 50, 30, 10 etc.." how do youa ctivite it ?
hope you know that T/C OAT means Top of Cruise Outside Air Temperature inDegC. 483C, you should never be allowed in a cockpit! I hope the new flight sim programmes automatic and random failures so you can watch yourself fall out the sky due to the amount of pilot errors you make. Guys, there are other tutorials here on youtube, 100x better than this persons "Tutorial" should be "Tutorial on how to fuck up an aircraft and 180 passengers and a career"
Basically, a cost measurement of how a company wants to use the aircraft. For example, a CI of 10 will provide more FUEL efficient speeds for climb, cruise and descent, where as a CI of say 100 will give a quicker speed, but will be less fuel economic.
@0596daniel. TCAS is tied to the transponder. Look on the centre pedestal for the transponder switch and the TCAS setting knob should be alongside it. It can be set for either traffic advisory (TA) or traffic and resolution advisory (TA/RA). Just make sure the transponder is active or TCAS will not function
the route usually has to be programmed in - where does the route come from here ? is it already there when selecting departure and arrival airports ??
I fly by eye sight and I fly manually... I would use some components, but rarely... I stay about 30,000 ft. and look for blinking lights when I need to refuel. :D
I like the video - but your personal preferences to your music is not what I came to see this video for - why do so many feel if they can't create a monologue for their video, it must be saturated with useless music.
sorry to hit this video but nobody follow this tutorial...the flight is a complete failure, i have read the PMDG 737 FMC manual when i got it (2 years ago) and ever since i have been flying the PMDG 747 and 737....subscribe to me i will be uploading a tutorial (Based on real world) :)
Hey can you please help me? I just don´t know how to install the autopilot the way that it just flies the route....which button would i have to push???
Dear aviator reserve fuel for 737-800 is 1.800 lbs not 50 it cant be 50 due to maximum fuel capacity of 46.000 lbs. If you want to make a tutorial make sure you use correct information.
hmmm... that temperature you entered, are you sure you want that as the engine temperature? I think not, engine temp has very little to do with take off performance. Try the outside air temperature :D
Really great tutorial, I just wish more people used less autopilot all the time.
No autopilot flight can be as fullfilling as flying the whole thing yourself, aside from maybe holding altitude which is almost impossible without AP in MSFS.
5 starts for the video, short, to the point and great. Great work Riccardo.
I had problems for a long time holding 250 knots airspeed without A/T.. lots of stalling. I found the fix in my aircrafts' settings. Even even with the real plane its not easy to do. But I wish my old Eastern 727-025 N8113N had an FMS. I'm looking for the right unit. Also want to do the 737-400.
@FSX404 Hi there, I know this is an old post, but in truth, nothing could be more UN realistic than trying to hold the whole flight without autopilot, this would never occur in the real world, especially in a modern airliner as shown here. The most realistic thing anyone can do in a simulator using an airbus or Boeing is learn how to use the FMC thoroughly. It's usually inexperienced simmers and pilots who dont use this ;) I do know what you meant though, nothing like a good vfr flight :)
I don't think I mentioned realism even once, I talked about a flight being fulfilling. And talked about only using the AP for holding altitude (at cruise). Did you actually read what I wrote, or just made up your own words to my post, LOL.
Just pulling your leg man, LOL, see you in the air.
@FSX404 lol its ok, I know you didnt mention realism, I should have posted that as a general comment..not meaning to have a dig... just stating a fact :) All great though, happy flying!
@FSX404 6 hour flights in what though? You mean fsx? And what aircraft? cheers! And yes, I am able to call what I said a 'fact', because it is. No room for diplomacy with that statement. There is just no such thing as a hand-flown airliner from destination to destination, the last time that was happening was either an emergency, or back yester-year. Pre- autopilot. I'm actually really surprised you genuinely think that pilots hand fly their planes that long?
Yeah, 6 hours in FSX, that will be the day, take care man ;)
P.S. last time a pilot flew an airliner with no AP for 8+ hours??....Mesa Airlines yesterday, and today, and tomorrow, those Beech 1900's, but don't let that stop you from making up your facts.
@FSX404 Well, we are on an FSX youtube video, so I had to ask. And I should have clarified, but given that this is a vid of a jet-airliner simulation..as I mention in my earlier statement " As in a modern jet airliner, as shown here." If you had said Beech 1900..then I am aware there is no autopilot like this on those props. Im not sure when the last time someone called that an 'airliner', even though technically its in airline service.
Yup, I have to Agree with Kartonkong. It's supposed to be the Outside Air Temp of your Cruising ALT/Top Of Climb. The Real Aircraft FMC would Reject a Figure of 438°C
Wright? Ahhh, you made the first plane! I didn't comment you, it's my litlle cousin who wants to be pilot (of 13) and he thinks he knows everything. Okay nice, which country? I am pilot on 737NG on KLM in the Netherlands so I know a lot as well about it. So don't think you know better than me, but my cousin makes still some mistakes!

Awesome video, good for begginers. I knew when I was starting that direct GPS deal never felt like the real thing. After doing direct on the FMC u can prog legs, that's when the fun and satisfaction begin!
Nice flying but The T/C OAT is not the engines tempreture...T/C OAT IS Top Of Climb Outside Air Temperature:D if you know the air temperature in your CRZ ALT set it up in Fmc D:D:
If you are going to fly as "DIRECT to" please don't use the FMC for that. Just use default GPS cause your wasting your time. Thats no way to program the FMC correctly. You did also miss a couple of things
hey man thanks for the tutorial, i have a problem and is when i am in the runway i click on the autothrottle to turn it on, but it doesnt turn on. I takeoff and then click on it but it never turn on, Why???
When i set the right runway on the FMC and activate him and when I set the ILS Frequency to my aircraft and set the ILS Runway Course and press APP button , he doesn't go to the Runway , can somebody help me ?
FMC is a computer that since you activate it ,flyes for you.You shoose som waypoints which the airplane is going to fallow by itself. You do not need to turn the aircraft,it does every thing.Well, the computer does it.You just set the computer.Google FMC and you'll see why every airplane brings one.
what is "planes datums"? and where can i find that info in the plane?? thanks..

This has nothing to do with the EGT from the Engines...

If you are going to fly as "DIRECT to" please don't use the FMC for that. Just use default GPS cause your wasting your time. Thats no way to program the FMC correctly. You did also miss a couple of things

The PMDG 737NG isn't equipped with the default GPS. He doesn't have a GPS at all.
I thougt the same as you in the beginning.

if i were you i should try an real route! and not direct

direct is good for beginners, adding sid/stars just complicates the whole learning process

I have the pmdg 737 ng for fs9 and my pfd doesn`t look the same ? is it an add-on for this plane ?
andreytz2oo7 3 years ago
look around in the pmdg menu in FS, you can change a few things in the panel, the pfd being one of them.

so what does the FMC really do for you?? is it just a better gps?
dollarboy500 3 years ago
FMC is a computer that since you activate it ,flyes for you.You shoose som waypoints which the airplane is going to fallow by itself. You do not need to turn the aircraft,it does every thing.Well, the computer does it.You just set the computer.Google FMC and you'll see why every airplane brings one.
