  • why they no use stim pack?!?

  • poor blood ravens

  • this video if Freakin awesome

    thanks for sharing it

  • guys stfu, both zerg and tyrannids where copied of the same shit. SST and aliens

  • I would like tyranids if they weren't so overpowered in every game! (including tabletop warhammer!) Now, in Dawn of War 2, all units in general have a lot more heath and so what happens is its unavoidable to kill the tyranids before they get close to you, and once they're up close nothing can stop them. It's just unbalanced gameplay.

  • Tyranids are mutch more worse then any other creature, monsterness ever made up no matter what...

Aliens, Zerg... there nothing compared to the tyranids... tyranids do have strategy... but mainly when there are HIVE TYRANTS leading the swarm...

  • @violetknight936 ... ok old post ... whatever ....

ever heard of the "X" (metroid fusion) .... rethink your post again ...

    i say:

x, mets and nids are the worst aliens ever made

  • i wonder who would win in a fight, the flood from halo or the tyranids?

i bet it would be one hell of a fight!!

  • @GeneralxDxRey i think the tyranids would win just because of there sheir numbers

  • @GeneralxDxRey i'm sure would win tyranids

  • @WoodenBokken because these parts of human technology are holy and must not be changed in any way, even if it would be better/ more effective for them.

  • Always kinda curious, why do the humans have such old-looking tech?

  • 1000th Like :P

  • i love the spacemarines and tyranides but the elder sucks they are all dead in the next years its

  • Orks, a Mobile Tyranid Buffet

  • When you wake up in the morning and see that shit in the sky, go back inside, have a nice smoke. It's the last one you'll get.

  • @WormFooinc I'll light up my cigar, grab my chainsaw and shotgun and WAAAAGH! my way to glory!!!

  • The Hivemind of all of the Tyranids is most likely the Outsider who went out of the Galaxy. Maybe he is making a farm of Tyranids for later consumption?

  • Looks awesome - just orderd my copy and can't wait to get it even more now lol. Flambe-Banshee with lictor sauce on the side - tasty :)

  • its funny how when you play the nids in warhammer, the only real tactic is SWARM THE F******* B******* but in DOW you can ambush, surround SWARM THE F******* B********* and smash them to peices with big guys on both.....

  • 2:26 lol nids will eat you.... NOM NOM NOM

  • 2:26 lol nids food

  • they shud make a movie....itd be way better than ultramirines

  • OH BOY ZER...oops sry i meen tyranids

  • tyranids rock

  • ZERG RUSH KEKEKE!

  • @jasin117 no heavy bolter guy gun them down with

    heavy bolter

  • @vidioinspector they still rushed

  • how would you like your eldar head sir?

    extra crispy!

  • epic!

  • 0:42 to 0:45 is the life cycle of a call of duty player

  • The Tyranid at the beginning was a Lictor wasn't it?

  • if that was a black templar sgt and not a bent blood ravens one, th BT would use his far superior close combat skills to avoid injury, keep his squad alive and whop that lame tyranid. for dorn, for the emperor!!

  • Eldars suck!

  • where did the drede go?

  • @Djgontsify wow that is a rly good point

  • Just wanted to say thanks for this video, good quality and content

  • my friend sais the space marines are much like the terrans but i beleive they are more like the imperial guard scince they are regular humans and not super humans what do you guys think?

  • @TheFIRESTARX IG has no power armor and often die immediately on a full onslaught

  • y do space marines wear that big armor if a sword can go right through it easily?

  • @TheFIRESTARX Because they aren't ordinary swords, they're power swords, which basically have a disruption field on them that makes them pass through solid matter like butter.

  • @MattMatt39 Then why dont they make armor out of whatever the sword HANDLES are made of? jeez, they should really use their genetically enhanced brains

  • @MattMatt39 doesn't really answer the question

  • @MattMatt39 Lightsabers!!!!

  • @MattMatt39 also hit weakpoint (connection point) between arm/chest 0:17

  • @MattMatt39 i gots one of them

  • @MattMatt39 nicely put :)

  • @MattMatt39 and it is from ELDAR

  • @TheFIRESTARX to protect from the bullets and there huge + if they wore imperal guard type armor theyed get raped as the imperial guard prove coz they die easily :/

  • @TheFIRESTARX ademas no tienen la misma cobertura en todo el cuerpo, la cintura y el cuello no tienen mucha proteccion

  • @TheFIRESTARX it looks cool lol

  • @TheFIRESTARX also there are weaker spots on the joints of the armor !

  • @TheFIRESTARX

    Cuz its F***ing bad ass

  • @TheFIRESTARX she hit the weakpoint on the arm connection

u read a lot about it in the romans

same for helmet / chest connection or knees

  • @TheFIRESTARX also the eldar are a highly advanced race with weapons that surpass the imperium's tech

  • Every game borrows ideas from other games, it has been like this for as long as I can remember, now calm down and watch the damn video.

  • Tyranids:Organic matter is consumed and pumped out into various forms, they conquer a planet, eat everything and move on. Controlled by Hive Mind which is just a collective. No real strategy or plotting, just eat grow eat

Zerg:They assimilate new forms and add it to the DNA in which larva transform to create forms. Central intelligence is in the Overmind a living creature and cerebrates which can freely think. Kerrigan and OM could think and plan ahead on what was too happen.Created by XelNaga

  • @tigerbones22 Oh my god....... are they really that similar? I thought they just looked the same. ><

    Overmind? Come on, wtf?

  • @MattMatt39 Alien bugs are just cool for some reason. And since bug colonies usually have a certain structure.. queen, warriors, workers, I don't at all see why it would be a surprise. Just look at Aliens, and Starship Troopers as other examples. Besides, the Overmind was awesome.

  • @MattMatt39 Yeah, they're really that similar. Blizzard was originally making Warcraft as a WHF game, then they lost the contract for that and changed a few things before putting it on the market. When they decided to make starcraft, they did the same bullshit.

  • @MattMatt39 i'd love to see zerglings go against tyranids

  • @MattMatt39 I believe they are both homages to alien. I don't wanna start a flame war or anything here.

  • The Zerg and Nids may have influenced each others' appearance for a short while, but in SC2 the Zerg have reverted to the "walking tumours" theme seen in SC1 alpha.

This fits with their being an interstellar cancer, a bio experiment run loose, as opposed to Tyranids which are an "unstoppable" intergalactic locust swarm here to "om nom nom" everything.

The Zerg are thus as different from the Tyranids as both are from Pseudo-arachnids, Xenomorphs etc.

  • they were also created for completely different purposes

    pseudo-arachnids: political metaphor

    xenomorphs: parasitoid slashers in space

Tyranids: the Great Devourer from beyond

Zerg: One monstrous half of a greater "perfect" whole

Flood: the reason for the Halos

    etc etc ...

The so-called "hive-mind swarm species" trope is a very superficial category that fails to take into account a lot of important differences.

  • @MattMatt39 Thing to take note is that while the Cerebrates and the Overmind control the Zerg, they act as as separate entities controlling the unified whole. The Tyranid Hive Mind has no centralized control (if there is, it has never been found). Their Hive Mind is made up of the collective whole rather than being a central being. This is actually more deadly and harder to kill since a central hive mind could be taken down with enough firepower. The Tyranids would have to be totally destroyed.

  • @MattMatt39 Starcraft was going to be a 40k game like Warcraft was going to a fantasy game but GW pulled the plug so blizzard changes the names and went with it.

  • @MattMatt39 starcraft and warcraft were copyed after 40k and mark of chaos :D

  • @MattMatt39 the Zerg were stolen from the tyranids and changed by blizzard just enough so that games workshop couldnt sue

  • @MattMatt39 StarCraft was originally a warhammer 40k project that was dropped midway, so blizz just said "Screw it" and made it into their own game. Tyranids = Zerg, Terran = Space Marine, Protoss = Eldar

  • @Redgaer40k ... so far i remember ... games workshop planned to do a warhammer fantasy rts game with blizzard that in turn became warcraft ... starcraft just was very "inspired" by 40k ...

  • @tigerbones22

But tyranids DO have strategies: they understand military tactics as well as any other intelligent lifeform and they even created single species just to spread terror and confusion among their enemies. they even use steahlthy creatures (e.g. the lictor), just to terrorise enemy commanders until they become insane!

Tyranides ARE NOT just dump animals, they use as much strategy as any other race, possibly even more than the orks!!

  • @tigerbones22 way to oversimplify the tryanids....i suggest actually reading the story before you form opinions.

  • @Veliuszero1 i play tyranids...in a nutshell thats what they do....they have strategy to conquer a planet but not extremely long term manipulation and strategy other than genestealers where as Kerrigan plotted everything from day 1

  • @tigerbones22 Except that Tyranid do consume DNA to get more adapted and become a more powerful species. Tyranids were made long before the Zerg.

  • @tigerbones22 1 thing: you said the tyranids have no real strategy, when, in fact the tyranids are the most intellegant non-god things in 40k

  • @tigerbones22

The Tyranid are also subtly implied to be connected to the Old Gods, the beings who created the webway technology and the Eldar and Ork races.

Tyranids not having strategy? They use hordes of meaningless creatures so their enemies run out of ammo for when they face high-value shocktroops orleadership xenoforms, they make use of deception and ambush tactics, even psychological warfare (lictors, the Deathleaper, genestealers, raveners and the Red Terror).Also,2 words: genestealer cults.

  • @tigerbones22 erm no dude. Tyranids do have strategy and they're infinitly more secure because the hive mind does not have a form thus rendering it immortal, they do have strategy as the swarmlord outmanovoured and outwitted the ultramarines and they're not all controlled by the hive mind as tyrant's are completely self-aware

  • I got an idea! lets name all of the DIFFERENCES between the two franchises then everybody stfu about it...i'll start...Eldar storyline: they controlled the stars then got greedy, created Slannesh and most died. Some went evil, the rest float through space on giant bone ships. Protoss Storyline: First born of the Xel'Naga, rejected and forced out on their own, they dont look like elves(eldar) nor do they have MOUTHES!!! they had a civil war, some broke away, though not evil, homeworld gets ownd

  • I love how Relic managed to make such an AWESOME representation of the hive fleet swarming around the planets of the system

  • I'm so old that i remember when people didn't have computers... haha, also means I remember playing table top war games to keep out of trouble. Rogue Trader was officially released at Games Workshop's annual Games Day event in October 1987; then it slowly evolved into WarHammer 40K. The game had a monster called the Genestealer (an advance scout creature for the Tyranid Hive Fleets). Starcraft was released in 31 March 1998. Alien, the 1979 Ridley Scott movie came before them all. :) Viva HORROR

  • tyranids zerg who cares! we all know its the xenomorphs that spawned all these races

    :P

  • TYRANIDS RULE AND WILL SHOWER THE SKYS WITH DEATH!

    (FACT)

  • 40k has way better background story to blizzards games.

  • when you have asleep at 2.00 it sounds like "This planet is ours *itch"

    "no, this plaents is BEARS!"

    awfully confusing

  • FUCK THE SPACE MARINES...good thing the tyranids get them and eat the bones

  • If WarHammer was anything like this, I could actually see people liking it.

  • is it 4 pc xbox or ps3

  • I shall name all of them Stevie

  • dang the eldars' armor look hot

  • eldars look like humans under mask?

  • every good idea and product is made to be copied

  • i hate eldar the imperial guard ar the most win of all FOR THE EMPEROR!!!

  • Eldar Anything you can do they can do better

Space marines bringing order to the galaxy by chock the shit out ot it

    Orks WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHH Vocabulary's for wimps

Nids, +d6 characters per turn :S

  • tyranids ftw

  • orks are best in my opinion :D

  • the orks are best being fed to the tyranids...

  • the tyranids should have an infestation like creature that bores in you and use your gene code to make rippers inside you but also the only gun on the tyranids that looks right is their arttilary cause it shots spores and everyone needs artillary but nothing else need guns just make them perfect at close quarters and terrible at range

  • Why did they give Tyranids guns? I just doesn't look right. Creatures like that would just squirt venom and go hand to hand. The bio guns look shite.

  • @JEKAZOL all to true comrade

  • 2:15 Shadow in the Warp FTW!!!!!

  • Take cover? Really? Dude, you are walking cover!

  • Yup, those ain't 'stealers, but gaunts or something. Genestealers we saw before in Space Hulk and others were an advance force, that infiltrates into planets and messes them up. In the final stages of infiltration one of the genestealers, or was it their infected pawns, becomes a psychic Patriarch that gives out a psychic beam for the Hive fleet to home on.

  • gene stealers are the ones with 4 arms on their backs, 2 legs with claws and a semi-human head with a pointed tongue. the ranged ones (i forget the name) have 2 legs and 2 arms and a tail.

  • @Spewan Termagaunts (ranged ones) have four arms and two legs. Two holding the gun and two smaller claw like ones.

  • @Sasherra thx :)

  • that is so awsome best clip ive ever seen

  • Does this game require Dawn of War 1??

  • @Semprevolley not at all!

  • I LOVE THiS GAME!!!!!!

  • dude that is so totally awsome

  • die! (poof) ah! (poof) where is he?

    SURPRISE! blam dead!

  • The movie Ultramarines should have looked like this at least.

  • Actually, the version I heard was that the creators of Starcraft actually approached Games Workshop with an idea to make a game based on Warhammer. When GW turned them down they released the game anyhow but changed the storyline enough not to get sued. HOWEVER if you look at it, the similarities are almost eerie. Terrans= Imperium of Man. Obviously Zerg=Tyranids and Protos=Eldar. But this could just be conjecture.

  • wait wait wait is this supposed to be a gazillion years after the original warhammer or at least the old world ones with elves and stuff ?

  • @Drpissed at least 5 gazillion

  • hes left handed??lol

  • i so cant wait until game graphics are as good as these cinematics

  • Here's a hint as to who won: the Lictor didn't walk away.

  • Who wouldn't like this man?!? What are those 33 dislikes?!? F***ing bieber fans!

  • Why don't they add space wolves,

Tyranids would be nothin on them!

  • Eldar is he best army ever!

  • @treq2112 im with ya bro

  • waiting for a dawn of war with all factions in it that would be fun :)

i'd spend 200 on it with pleasure

  • warhammer 40k was origionally a tabletop game.

  • @awtroar Still is :P

  • I remember around 7-8 years ago everyone i knew played 40k tabletop. Looking back on it (i was 11-12 at the time) i would easily say its one of the mentally healthiest things a kid could do at that age with a limetless imagination. I havnt gotten rid of my army (never will) and i am sruprised how much better i got at painting, its kinda like the manifestation of getting better at an instrument for example.

  • The old Carnifex's were beautiful, like Old One Eye.

And I remember the oldest gene-stealers and the next released ones.

I've not seen the newest yet.

  • @benCANNIBAL my dad has the old carnifex

  • i just bought the game and it will be in the mail soon soo i was wondering which race is the best for online play

  • @CoreyTheWolfTWC imperial gurad. they can counter anything, tankbusting, troops armour ogryns, command squad. BANBLADE! i still am eldar but imp guar is the best for online

  • Dawn of War II is still better than Starcraft 2.

Damn Koreans, alway ruin the better game.

  • no living creature can stand against the NECRONS no one!

Weapons made to kill everything that is alive even every cell of the bodys.

  • to all you space marines, you may think your good, but your never good enough to take on the tyranid's!

  • Sometimes i feal like a geek playin this game... But.. its beter than world of warcraft :L xD

  • @Dennis123yeh i feel like a geek when i play too. AND IM PROUD! lol

  • Where i can download warhammer with tyranids?

  • Where i can download warhammer with tyranids?

  • NIIIIIIIIIIIIIDS

  • I have come to destroy you.

  • why the f do people always have to accuse things of ripping or something else!?

i mean, is it possible that some similarities exist between things without them being copied?

of course not, thats just far to sensible

if there is a similarity it MUST have been copied!!!

    heres something to think about,

yes zerg and tyranids have SOME similarities, but the story of Starcraft is so DIFFERENT to 40K.

to be honest, who cares if one copied the other?

    Zerg and Tyranids are AWESOME!

  • @NZtricolor Then toss in the Arachnids from Starship Troopers. Face it, there is just a basic theme type of enemy in alot of these games and movies. Best bet: Have fun killing them and move on.

  • @NZtricolor Are you KIDDING me? The stories are similar in a ton of ways!!! Humans are already having problems with other stuff bla bla bla, alien race comes in (zerg/nids), eldar and protoss try to stop by themselves but fail at it, so the terrans/space marines gotta do it. Preeeety damn similar. Blizzard is very uncreative.

  • @FritosBeanDip but even though the games might be similar, that does not make them any better or worse or less fun to play, so finding some similarities to other games really shouldn't be a reason to complain. if they're both good, then enjoy them, if not the just don't play the games, no-one's forcing you to.

  • @FritosBeanDip wow, you pretty much simplified not to mention cut out parts of 40K and Starcraft history/story to suit your argument.

    How about the differences.

Terrans are estranged ex-convicts of Earth and her colonies- Human imperium led by god emperor

Protoss are similar to Eldar in that they were created by the first beings (Xel'naga/Old ones) BUT Protoss took upon themselves the duty to safeguard and look after other beings within their space while Eldar look after themselves

  • @NZtricolor nerd ಠ_ಠ

  • @TheDarklord0211 did you just say the word "nerd" in 2011? that word does not even exist anymore nor is it offensive.....fail.

  • @DarkHour404 you have clearly never picked up a dictionary or have gone on wikipedia

    FAIL.

  • @FritosBeanDip

    cont.

and manipulate all other races for their own ends.

Also Chaos is a HUGE difference. No chaos in StarCraft.

For a computer game Star Craft has a very large universe and a hugely creative storyline.

40K is so so SO much bigger because it is a board game and more.

    It is a story!

Like everyone else says. Enjoy the game for its gameplay and great story and enjoy the tabletop game for it's game play and immense history.

  • @NZtricolor dawn of war 2 came out before starcraft 2

evern if starcraft 1 had the zerg first

the new design of them could of been copyed from the tyranids

  • @NZtricolor just a li info you might find amusing ((or I at least find amusement in telling you)) the original tyranids got games workshop pulled into court, cause they looked IDENTICAL to the Xenomorphs from the Alien series

  • @Tobias2789

    woah, i never knew that!

hahahah did Blizzard get pulled into court for using the same phrases that the dropship pilot says in "Aliens" for the dropship pilot in Star Craft?

  • @NZtricolor I highly doubt it, you know how many movies, songs and games take quotes from popular movies? they cant sue for that, and honestly I dont think it was right for games work shop to get sued for looking like the aliens, it is free publicity for the movie series, but thats just my opinion, besides play Warcraft3 or WOW and if you look att he mission names, what some NPC's say or even shop names you see a lot of references to popular books and movies

  • @NZtricolor I'd also include Xenomorphs from the Alien movies.

  • @NZtricolor -.- there are similarities because they got some ideas OFF tyranids... tyranids came first... im not denying that they are both awesome, and i agree everyone needs to stop pointing it out in a demeaning way, but your approach is just ignorant, zerg are BASED of tyranids... end of discussion...

  • @NZtricolor Warcraft, in the beginning, was actually supposed to be a GW game. But GW pulled out and Blizzard recycled what they had into Warcraft. That they took inspiration from GW and 40k isn't really a surprise.

  • @NZtricolor

dont forget to mention tyranids have been around longer than zerg

also they both are similar to "aliens" from the movie series aliens

some people just have to act like huge fans and not get it

  • @NZtricolor nids did come first though :/

  • Why does it not surprise me that Orks are in Dawn of War 2 :/ Oh well. more food for tyranids >:D Too bad Tau aint there with the Kroots.

  • starcraft and warhammer are seperate masterpeices and should be considered seperate because they are equally amazing games.

  • The game looks amazing! Is Relic the same people who where involved with company of heroes?

  • dreadnoughts are baddass

  • SPCE MARINE FTW but i love to role play nc make up my own space marine factions

  • WAAAaaaaaagh!!!!!

  • lol @ starcraft fanbois thinking 40k ripped off starcraft when it was the other way around.

  • back when i was 14 i had a vivid dream of tyranids overrunning a space marine inhabited jungle, alot like the one in the trailer. it was pretty freaky.

  • Just take a look at Spacehulk from Games Workshop wich came out as Computergame in the early 90s and as Tabletop-Game in the 80s, thy did even look like some kind of Zerg Creatures back in these days when no one hab ever thought of something loike Starcraft

  • it is true that Warhammer 40k does take alot from Movies and stuff, like Space Marines are easily based of Star Wars stormtroopers, Tyranids from StarShip Trooper bugs, Catachans from Rambo, including Marbo who practically is Rambo (Sly Marbo is awesome still), Imperial Guard even has a regiment based off the British soldiers from the film Zulu (classic film), but it doesnt make it all 1 big rip off, its just simply pitting all awesomeness together to make epic awesomeness.

  • @RenegadeOfSociety no evrything els got their ideas from 40k

  • @Cragstan good point, im sure sylvester stallone said something about aspiring to be a catachan as a child.
