In fact, even if they initially rebel, sub-consciously and maybe secretly, they'll appreciate it, because children/teens really thrive on firm consistent rules and consequences for breaking them. Their kids don't need friends, they need parents. Is Aimee from a different marriage? J & K lack character and discipline.

I love that song, but the sad reality is that pure talent was replaced with who had a marketable "look." That's what the new-wave movement was all about: video and canned "music." One of the true tests of brilliance is when artists sound as good or better live. Boy bands and Taylor Swift, for example, can't sing or perform live. Jack White is a contemporary genius live.

Her acting is embarrassing. I do give her credit for her performance as "Evita." Her voice was rocky at times, but she pulled it off. Andrew Lloyd Weber didn't wan't her for the role. He wanted a "real" singer/actress; but, she fought to the bloody end for the part. It was her best work. She's proven to be a fine mother

@martilook LOL! Does your insurance plan include an annual hearing exam?! Ozzy's not really a brilliant singer, but his voice IS UNIQUELY DISTINCT and he's able to create music. I'm in the theatre scene and surrounded by good singers and a few gifted singers. Led Zeppelin is my fave rock band, but I love opera too. I'm turned on by genius no matter what genre. Kelly may have a gift, but it's not singing. She can train her voice, but only God blesses people with miraculous singing talent.

@blueguitarblue Well, there's a big difference between "great" and "brilliant" or "genius". I said she sang great, not that she has amazing voice or talent. I think she sang great, because in that kind of music this sort of screaming really works out. I like almost every kind of music and there's a lot of people who in my opinion have got, like you said, miraculous singing talent. I wouldn't include Kelly to that group but I think that in this video she sang great.

We develop tastes in all we do. Be it, eating, drinking, clothing, hairstyle, decorating, etc. and certainly the arts! Never be afraid to stick up for your tastes. It's a part of you. Even with an opinionated person like me, who thinks that Kelly is a joke for a singer. It's all good!
