It's rather jarring and refreshing to see bands who are so natural in front of the camera, not afraid to be themselves compared with the media-trained ones you often get today. RIP Chris.
This is the coolest interview I've seen of Lush - with my two favorite members no less. I still have tremendous love for this band. I have every CD & EP they ever released. I only got to see them live once in Los Angeles at the El Rey Theatre. What a sound - dreamy ethereal vocals over a wash of mind-bending sound. To see Chris here laughing and joking, then to think he would take his life mere years later hurts so much... You never know what's really going on in the heart and soul of someone...
My best wishes to you, Steve. I met Chris; I went to college with another from your home town who knew him via school & the "Duck Billed Platypus" scout troop. Mystifying and tragic loss. I think he wanted Lush to be Led Zep - sad that he couldn't see they were wonderful just being Lush.

"If it wasn't for me, Lush wouldn't exist". It's heart-wrenching to hear this bearing in mind what led the band to break.
