  • Is this the end of this series?

  • @blairseybell

Sorry, The moment I tried to finish the series, I had open heart surgery. As soon As I feel better, I will finish it.

    Peace.

    K.K.

  • You explain only the human standpoint.

The last prophet in the Tenach, was Malachai. He explained, as many prophets did, how evil the people had become. This was also what happened, G-d had enough of supporting such an evil bunch, and destroyed the Temple of the hypocrites.

You may not accept Jesus as Messiah, but seen as a prophet making warnings, he prophecysed the destruction of the Temple, after the Democratic Sanhedrin showed their hypocrisy.

And today, the people have also become evil.

  • You are one that is less evil, and the fact that I notice this is bad news. Because I see evil every where, over here in Europe, but also in the USA. You, as a man being a lot less evil as average, describe only a human standpoint.

    The fruits of Democracy are:

Wars based on lies, secret agenda's by governements, sex slaves like Cathy O'Brien in the White house, Croatian neck--ties every where, media hypes instead of information, just to name a few.

    Repent people.

  • Shalom, Rabbi. In one of your videos that you posted about what Jews think of Jesus/Yeshua, you mentioned a video about Paul. What's the name of that video? I've been trying to find it and I ran across this one, so I posted my comment here. Thank you, and many blessings to you for making yourself available for this.

  • Hey there,

The Paul video is on my channel. Look at my Vlog Section. Under Rabbi Asher's video is "The Treaties on Paul. Hit play all and there you go. Let me know if you found it

    Peace.

    John.

  • Thank you Rabbi. Please excuse the naivete of my questions ;-)

The schism to which you refer to under Vespasian - does it have a name please...?

I'm still working my way through Josephus by the way...

  • It is not a Naive, your question. It is called "The Destruction of the Temple" That is what Vespasian did to ultimately garner his position as Caesar. Not to mention loyal guards to assassinate the previous one.

  • Many thanks Rabbi.

I have now started using the 1823 ed. of Brown and Jennings 'Antiquities of the Jews' to follow along with.

I am confused about Josephus' narrative, as he himself was Jewish was he not?

Siding with the Romans and coldly documenting the Destruction of the Temple in third party dialogue as he does is perhaps Josephus' own attempt to expunge the historical record of his presumed collusion.

  • Josephus is an interesting chariter. Josephus himself may have been a (some scholars think) either an Eboinite Jew or Just a captive who was being watched closely as he wrote is recollections. It is believed that he was assinated shortly after writing this work. A book you may want to read as well is a book from Joseph Atwill's "Caesar's Messiah". A great book on alternate histories of early Christianity and Rabbinical Judaism. Worth the $60.00 price. Peace.

  • Even more confusing, I have now come across texts saying that Josephus was an Ebionite Christian.

Sorry about replying to my own message by the way.

  • It is a theory. Not necessarily fact. I would look up that book I suggested. It maybe use to you.

    John.
