Did not get to experience this song as a hit, BUT this takes me back to my days as a teenager in 1996/97/98 while working as a grocery store cashier, as this song was played quite a bit (they had like a 10-CD set of soft rock on continuous loop). Although I didn't care for that job, songs like this (and the others they played frequently) take me back to the many good times I had while working there. Plus, it's a good song!
Let me re-phrase my own UN-intelligent, original comment to be a more "socially-accepted, politically correct opinion." I am actually the apparent idiot who hates the music of today, but Lady Gaga can put her high-heel shoes under my bed and sing Bad Romance to me anytime she gets the inclination ... and I don't care if she is a half a man!
I was referring to young people. Young people do not like the music from the 70's. And we, most of us, do not like much the music of today. That is all I was saying. Nothing about skin color. My comment was directed at age. You people are so touchy.
@BryonThePoet I DISAGREE....i was 13 when this came out....and loved it then..and my son is now 13 and loves the "old" "good" music......many many times on this youtube when listening to the 70's early 80's tunes kids will write things like "i was born XXXX years too late' I say its there now to enjoy....there is a void of MEANINGFUL MUSIC....in today's lady GAG type NOISE.......don't give up i am encouraged...at least for the music anyway this world is another story lol!
Good music is good music. To say that somebody can't relate to a song just because their skin is a different color than the person or group performing the song is asinine.
I love this song because it was indicative of the 70's where everyone had a different sound. Every artist was unique in their tunes. Now everything sounds the same.
Love this band and this is one of my most favorites of their 70s songs! I found this song just by accident, looking for other 70s music. I haven't heard Firefall in years.....lost my entire collection of their singles during a move. Thanks so much for uploading their songs here! Made my day.......I also subscribed to your YT channel, I love your music selection.
I've never heard of Firefall before. I only found out about it recently, when searching for firefall the game. Accidently this band comes up. Nothing in common, but I love this music. Such a strange way to find an old band. =)
@TheTrippybutterfly I have been around awhile and in my life I have had a number of women who when ever they where feeling sad or had a fight with their boy friend would call me and would want me to listen to them vent. Several of these women I loved, but they just wanted me there when they were depressed to make them feel better. I think that is what the song is about. Peace.
that is sooo sad....she is in a Happy place...Music can sure bring back so many memories good and bad, but remember, she is happy you are remembering her in such a awesome way. Peace.
Great Music from 70's when music was original and uplifting. I was 14 when Firefall was at their peak and still love them so many many moons later...Loved this group & still do !!!!
I live now and lived in Colorado then when this group fabricated. I remember listening to them in the mountains, a groupd which was not given enough respect!~ This is one of the musically finest groups ever, and I still love their music and always will!
This song randomly popped into my head today, and I haven't heard it since probably the early 80s! But I remember this song from way before the 80s. It's amazing how the human mind can suddenly remember something from so long ago, but remembering what I had for breakfast this morning...? Oh yeah, it was a bowl of peanut butter balls (Cap'n Crunch)!
MR. THEHOME WRIGHT, I am genuinely sorry, to have read about your cousin , she sounds like she was a fun-lovin person, I know you must MISS HER LIKE CRAZY. I HOPE THE LORD HAS HEALED THE PAIN OF YOUR HEART. I AM GLAD YOU HAVE AT LEAST A FUN AND HAPPY MEMORY of HER, to last you through the years. Take Care of u and God Bless 2!
Firefall got its name in a strange way !!!! The members used to go camping and hiking on a mountain that had a 1000+ foot cliff. People built fires on top of the cliff and when they were burning good they would push the fire off the cliff and watch the FIREFALL.
The last time I saw my cousin, Cheryl, a beautiful and truly fine young woman, we were riding around smoking a joint when this song came on. We both sang at the top of our voices through the whole thing together. She was later murdered. Every time I hear this song, I go back to that last night we spent partying together and singing without a care in the world. I miss you Cheryl...
@TheHomewright You will always have the good memories. I lost my soulmate a couple of years ago and I still have trouble listening to some music that I associate with her.
@TheHomewright Oh Fuck! I don't know Cheryl, but I sense the world is a better place for having known her. As for the sack of subhuman fucking shit that killed her, give me the opportunity and I'll carve his fucking guts out.
@ThorOdinson14 I agree that this world with Cheryl in it would be a better place. Too bad thehomewright and Cheryl weren't packing a firearm. The sack of subhuman shit would hopefully be gone. And Cheryl and her cousin would still be enjoying life today. I am so sorry for your loss thehomewright.
I heard this on Sirius today and had to look it up. It's one of the many musical memories of the 70's. Always liked their music. They had a sound that filled the speakers. Thanks for posting this song!
I was listening to this tune on vınyl when I was breaking up with a chick back in the 70s. Shouldn't have blown her off. Thanks for the memories.

I simply made a comment. Is that illegal? Are the police coming to get me soon. Maybe I ought to delete the hard drive and erase the cookies.

We hate their music and they hate ours, but we all love each other now don't we? If that is, the price is right. Hahahahahaha!
