It is scary how quiet it is 3 days ago in eau claire wisconsin about a block down was a huge fire and crews were there for about 5 hours they had the fire out around the third and a half hour
So with that ventilation i say very well done sir, its a lost art amongst the common day fire service. if you let the heat out you can go in and get the fire. i think its a simple concept that was shown well in your video, but also you can tell early ventilation would have been key
at 4:05, was bustin' that window out for ventilation a bad idea? I mean, I know you probably can't really tell when you should vent or not, but that fire went up pretty fast. Just wonderin' if he did the right thing or not.
@guitar4meandu It was the only way to control the rollover that was about to occur. With the line in place at the door, it was ventilated, so it could be extinguished.
@bfdengine2 I have the MiniHD, and the FC3, both from FIREVIDEO. NET, and they can definately take the heat, water, and abuse we put them through. I highly recomend either one.
Just wondering what Streamlights do you have? I might get one. Which one are they. The Fire Vulcan or FireBox? I know both of them come with the bright dark blue LED taillights. I love watching your vids.
i agree that floor ha to be gettin soft! that much fire! this was to be expected. on good thing i saw was thwe line was wet before the vent. i cant stand when u vent and the whole thing lights off and a tone of free burn because u didnt have a charge line. but need more hustle needed in the vent. after vert vent was a no go due conditions punch glass sooner. dont let that much fire free burn and then unlesh hell! ur making more structure problems for urself! good vid though. punch glass, it ligh
@sergeantdiessel Congratulations, you will enjoy it! Bad thing is, you dont know what your starting, I bought a helmet cam, got hooked, and now I have 2 dash cams as well.
why was ventillation done like that, if the fire was contained in one area, why not just take a 1 3/4 preconnect to it and put it out like that, then time the ventillation with the charging of the hoseline onto to the fire. it that was done then the house wouldnt have been fully involved on the outside
@firefighter7494 That wasn't the ventilation crew. That crew was around back. And it was fully involved when they got there. It was too hot to even enter when they arrived. That fire had been going a long time before it was ever paged out. By the time they were paged, it was too late. What you can't see from the front door view, is the roof collapsing above and the flames shooting out the back.
@UJustR4pedMe It rolled over, as soon as it was ventilated horizontally. Most of the videos are edited for time restraints, so they can be posted on youtube. This video was cut from about 4hrs of actual footage.
did the house have smoke alarms?
