What is the problem with all these lists, Vince Carter is the best dunker ever period. Everybody knows it, it is a default knowledge now. When you are born, they tell you Jordan is the best player and Carter is the best dunker. Vince's dunks are not comparable, not debatable, it is one of the most obvious facts of life. :) And by the way I never understood the hype about Dominique Wilkins, I always thought his dunks are ugly, shouldn't be in top 10 at all.

These were not very good picks for the best ever... Jason Richardson should be up there.  He did a reverse, through the legs, off the bounce dunk on the first try in the dunk contest. Not this 10-15 tries in 2 minutes like the latest dunk contests have had. Nique is the best ever but Vinsanity should be #2 (very close). That list is pretty much on the money! VC dunked more often and with more power, probably jumped higher as well, than MJ, so overall you have to give it to him. Although for me If VC gets a say 99 rating as a dunker MJ is right there with a 98, the reason? MJ's dunks had the most flair, the most aesthetics, they were artful, VC never looked as good dunking, not near the pizzaz in other words.

Not a bad list, especially considering ESPN as the source. Usually they'll do something stupid like ranking Lebron 5th, in spite of his inability to do anything interesting with his freakish athleticism. Drexler is a little overrated, but solid. Kemp remains one of the most underrated, and one of my favorite dunkers of all time.
