  • I'm not against IPA but they are only for broadcasters. they're kind of celeb and we are not. learning IPA will be double work for us. Most importantly most people don't follow broadcaster spoken in their respecting languages and doing all good jobs and businesses. so what are all those broadcasters spoken gonna do in our life??? are they any use for common people??

  • Most of the people are not going to be a Newscaster. Why the pronunciations of IPA and majority people of native speakers are way different. learning pronunciation word by word are the great backfire and a total misleading. we need to learn in a conversation connected way, not word by word. If someone who studies English alongside his native language already know basic IPA. Please put us to mainstream people.

  • i'm sorry that i'm going to comment little harsh. Those IPA way pronouncing for the newscaster/ TV presenters and some professionals. Majority of the people do not follow those so-called all correct pronunciation style. They are broadcaster English and likewise broadcaster spoken for other languages people don't follow. Even in my native language we hardly see any pronunciation dictionary let alone to follow them and symbols! are they fooling us. Majority natives don't follow IPA and doing well.
